Lag is terrible this morning almost making game unplayable

    What is being done about the lag, it has been terrible since HOTR launched..

    Nothing is going to be done about it if you keep logging in to the game. What would possibly motivate them to fix it otherwise? Your complaints they wont read?

    Stop logging in, if you me and others do that they'll fix the lag fast or be out of business. Its rather simple, however Im betting you'll log in anyway and continue to whine.

    what can we do- they wont acknowledge or respond to our complaints...im paying 15 a month for this service....

    I'm on PC-EU in NZL, I'm generally ok Iin the morning but once I'm in a PvP zone I literally become a snail it's basically unplayable.

    Zos should stick a thread about Oceanian players.
    It's not zos fault (yeah I know, unbelievable)
    A couple of underwater cables have been damaged last week because of a storm near Hong Kong, which means that this game will be almost unplayable for about 6 weeks which is, supposedly, the amount of time it will take to fix them.

    It's because you're on an isolated island, connecting to a server in Dallas. I have several friends in NZ, and they all tell me that the normal ping for them is well over 200-250. So you're already borderline on what's considered a playable ping.

    Now consider the number of nodes, connections, undersea cables, and such that your traffic has to route through in order to get all the way to Dallas, TX. Any number of problems could crop up, and none of them could be ZOS's fault. Not to say that their server stability is good (it's atrocious), and not to say that it couldn't be partly their fault (it could very well be). But please consider the whole picture before you blame ZOS.

    (I should also note that 2 of my NZ friends, one from North Island and one from South, both have been playing today and without any complaints)

    My ping has been all over the damn place lately. i log in and its at 75 then it spikes to 400 then drops down to 100 then back up to 999+. ESO is the only gave i have latency issues with. At this point i have just accepted its the potato servers

    I understand your frustration about the lag but I'm in dorth Dakota and it feels like I have Aussie ping. Explain that one.....

    Been only playing battlegrounds it's the only pvp experience that isn't a lag fest. Ive tried to go into cyrodiil 2 times in the past 2 weeks and quickly left after, once to imperial city which is bad but not aweful and the other time to battlegrounds

    In cyrodiil bar swaps don't work, buttons need to be pressed 3-5 times to preform the skill, cc break doesn't work, sometimes gap closers drop you through the map or you gap close into a load screen. Granted the gap closer issue is rare but still.

    Also are we never going to acknowledge the back enterance to cracked wood cave has been broke since homestead? Try to go in there, you'll get dropped into the hole, screen will go black and you can jump and run but never fall all the way into the cave. Only way to get out is to use the "help get me unstuck" function which drops you back at your home gate

    NZL uses the Southern Cross Cable to USA - Wonder if problem may be related to "Harvey" in Texas which has prob impacted in lines / cables to Dallas from landing point on West Coast USA
