Not VR but i have been playing with my nVidia 3D glasses and it looks awesome in 3D!

Some of the UI elements are in the way but i'm using an AddOn to remove those (like the crosshair).
And some of the post processing effects are rendered in screen-space which makes them look a bit off in 3D (like water reflections).

But overall, it looks really good! Running a dungeon and switching to first person view is simply spectacular.

Yes it is possible; but the cost benefit is not merited. The price tag for an Oculus/Vive is in and around $500 USD; and it is questionable as to how many ESO player's would actually benefit by virtue of owning the equipment. I would enjoy it though; I absolutely love ESO.

Skyrim is coming in VR so it would be logicat that ESO will get the option as well. The do use the same graphical engine?

No they don't. ESO uses Hero.

ESO does not use HeroEngine, ESO licensed HeroEngine during development and prototyping whilst the proprietary engine was in development, see Matt Firor's comment here.

I have thought about using my Vive in ESO, however to do so requires something like VorpX which works a bit too similarly to how CheatEngine works and so is really toeing the line.

Would I love to see ESO VR? Sure, but I'd rather development time was spent on other things.

You know how all Elder Scrolls games can benefit us the player base? That VR can allow us to sprint, crouch, simulate the weapon animations to cast a certain ability with our body and arms. This way we both play a game and do exercise.

It hurt me even more to write it. They are not going to be doing VR because the dev associated with it left and there is an entire lawsuit that happened against him and zosBethesda won. They stopped the VR project, yanked out of contract, and lost a dev in the process. I don't care. I never was for VR.

What kills me is I defended Zenimax-Bethesda against those who said TESO would be the last Elder Scrolls in the series because making an mmorpg takes to much time, effort, money, etc. I defended ZoS to strangers!

But is there a Skyrim 6?

No. Nope. No no no no no no no no.

    Why?

Because game makers are sitting around waiting to see how much a cash grab the switch is and wondering if they should make hand held games.

WHERE IS SKYRIM 6? I was told ESO was not the end of the Skyrim series but NO WORD IS OUT ON SKYRIM 6.

Have you guys ever seen that thing your parents have hidden in the back of the garage or the basement? You know the thing they call a treadmill.

This is the next generation treadmill that players will have hid in their garage or basement.

I like the ideal of VR but using your body movement to control your character is just a little more work than I want to do in a game.

    Lol!!!
    Skyrim 6?? Hehe....
It is "The Elder Scrolls" series and Skyrim was only 1 of 10 TES titles. And IMO not even the best one!
As far as TES 6, look to 2020 or beyond. Todd Howard said last year will be developed after they do 2 brand new large games.
Just like Winter, TES 6 is coming...Just not soon..

Yes it can be runned in Vr , like the NORMAL skyrim can be runned in Cyberith Visualizer ( google it) . The Cyberith software just simulates ur mouse and keyboard movement , there is no need for any adjustments of the base game . Similar example is running mouse and keyboard on a PS4 with a 3d party hardware that simulate Dualshock4 controller commands.

I'm kinda surprised no one, have mentioned for us PS4 Players. We PS4 Players do have A VR Headset as well. The PlayStation VR https://www.playstation.com/en-us/explore/playstation-vr/

I would say however, No ESO will not have VR. Especially in future, but maybe in 15 yrs (if ESO still alive) it's good possibility, ESO would be VR ready (15 yrs?) Frankly I'm quite really shocked for Skyrim getting VR. So yes ESO VR is possible, but not right now.

I have learned it it still possible to play ESO in VR with 3Rd party program on Pc. Done below me in comment.

    Vorpx: https://www.vorpx.com

But it is still not possible to play ESO in VR for us PS4 Players which Playstation-vr don't have anything supporting ESO VR.

I tested ESO 2 weeks ago using Oculus Rift & Touch in combination with vorpX and all I can say is that it was

    an amazing experience!

The most important functions are accesible via the Touch controllers. For somebody like me, who is deeply interested in immersion, setting and design, this was incredible.

I swear, I'll visit so many places again now, just to wander and look around. Fantastic.

Exactly I play ESO in VR all the time and so dose many of my guild mates....the ignorance that has been shown in this thread by people that say you can't is laughable. There are several videos on YouTube on how to get started using vorpix...I use the camera immersion addon for mounts as well as the full immersion addon.

Hi, so I just wanted to say I have learned something new. But only because of your help,I don't play much PC (I seldom do) Now I know it is possible To Play ESO in VR. With Vorpix like you mentioned, I am not tech savy.

Which in turn I had to look up what Vorpix is. (Google says Vorpx though according to "did you mean" But there is also a Vorpix building, Google is weird)

However here is VorpX . https://www.vorpx.com Which does VR, hence it is possible to play ESO via Pc by using 3rd Party Vorpx as you mentioned.

But unfortunately ESO VR is still not possible for us PS4 Players. I wish Vorpx would work with ESO on PS4 as well as PS4 VR system. But thank you for sharing and helping me learn something new.

There's one constraint to vorpX - It follows your head movements fluidly, but you can't get a closer look at your environment by just moving your head closer to objects.

This is a headtracking limitation and I if there's someone who knows how to fix this, I'd be glad to hear about.

This is the only bummer.....there is also a constraint while mounted you can' t turn your head independently of your mount. I have heard this scan be addressed but it will have o be at the developer level....I think that once Fallout 4 and Skyrim VR take off (which they will) ZoS will offer some form of support for VR.
