Bookmarking a thread essentially allows you to "Watch" a thread. Notifying you if there are any updates to it. It will email a notification to your account, similar to when an answer of yours is accepted (email notification is defaulted to on), and add an entry into your notifications on the forums of who commented on what thread.
Threads can be bookmarked by clicking on the star outline to the left of the authors name when viewing on the forum page, and to the right of the thread title in the thread page. Your bookmarked threads can be viewed by clicking on the star icon next to your inbox icon.

✭I am aware of this featureI'd like to use it if the notification settings for it worked properly. If I bookmark a thread, my email still gets spammed even though I have both notification types disabled for it in my notification settings. In fact, I have all email notifications disabled.1 -

What I'd like to know is if it's possible to turn the notifications off for a topic you started.
Back when housing was on the PTS I started a topic in the PTS section about the item limits - purely to make sure I'd recorded the right numbers for each house size. Every few weeks I get a flurry of notification spam when someone decides that's the perfect place to rant about the item limits and other people start joining in.

✭✭✭✭✭I am aware of this featureI'm aware of the feature but have never used it. I disable all notifications as a matter of course. There are usually only two or three threads I have a continuing interest in and I just check those out when I visit the forum.1 -

I was on my phone when I posted before, but now on my laptop I was able to check it. The option is there but maybe we need some fixes
