Stamina Templar Build -Reckless, RUNS DOUBLE KENA-- CP/No CP, group and solo compatible. HOTR PATCH

So, friends, people i've killed and random people just whispering me out of the blue have been asking me what gear i run now days on my stamplar, and ive got tiered of listing all the sets and reasoning etc for each person so here it is. this is no way the best build to run, but it works for me and its my setup which people have been asking about. as seen in the screen shots, its 4.2k weap dmg with 2.5k recovery and 35k stam which are solid stats, even when u run blood spawn or any other undaunted set.

It's a S/B setup with 2h back bar but you can easily run DW if u with too for this but imo it works better as S/B, for my play style as i dont like DW. Reminds me too much of PVE.

It is called reckless because i run MOLAG KENA x 2 to give me dmg when i need it, normally being when i need to heal up fast or going to burst the enemy down, i do not keep it up at all times, only when i need the 500 weap dmg. ---- this works for me but less experienced stamplars may not find it as easy to work this way due to sustain and cost increases.
My jabs end up being 1.6k and even higher if i have a friend using combat prayer for minor beserk and a 19k vigor tool tip. If you choose to run blood spawn you may want to run warrior mundus and i often run blood spawn x2 and warrior when i am in no cp groups and ritual when solo in Cyro CP. I change depending on situation. But i predominantly run SERPENT MUNDUS

Gear

I run 5 heavy with 2 medium
The bone pirate pieces (arms and belt, you need them to be small parts for max resistances)
Willow's path pieces are chest, legs and boots for me and Sword, Shield and Axe.
But if you are NOT ORC like I am, you may want to go 5/1/1 for more health.

Enchants/Traits
MAX STAMINA on ALL IMPEN ARMOUR PIECES - But personally i have a chest and legs with healthy enchants as well as stamina so i can change my max health pool with ease depending on what i am doing, in CP i tend to run 1 or 2 of the healthy bits depending on the map situation and how outnumbered i am. In No CP it is similar, but i tend to run 1 healthy bit so i get 21k health and 32k max stamina. In BGs i change depending on Mode and If i have a group of friends who can support me or pugs, but i generally tend to run both healthy bits unless i have a healer with me.

INCREASE WEAP DMG enchant on my 1h NIRN sword
REDUCE ENEMY WEAP DMG on my INFUSED 2h AXE
I like this setup personally because i can heavily reduce enemy damage and healing with my skill setup while i have over 4k damage my self.
Bar setup
SOLO
VswROZs.png

Repent on the 5x WP front bar stacks really nice regen stats
Reverb to cc and apply major defile
Heroic for minor maim and ult gen
Jabs
Vigor on front bar because of nirn 1h for max healing and to avoid bar swap lag
DBOS more dmg and nicer to weave
POL for ult gen and burst
Total dark to counter Mag ranged enemies and annoying snipe spammers.
RUNE for regen can be dropped for a gap closer if you need it or shuffle, I dont run it because of cost and dont like the dodge chance rng personally.
Cleanse
Rally, no need for shuffle or momentum because of cleanse
Bats for oh crap heal and diving into big groups.

Group
WAM5HPP.png

Guard not only gives an ally more survivability but i get more mag recovery which scales with WP and minor force which makes my crit dmg do 20% more as templars have a passive to increase crit dmg already.
In group i run remembrance because as well as DBOS so i have an AOE cc and an AOE mass heal depending on what is happening to group.
I keep total dark to stop snipe spammers and mag users from hitting us hard from range in towers and LOS-ing.

CPs
personally i view cp as a personal setup that works for each person individually but my setup is as follows.

RED TREE
37 iron clad/62 resistant/23 thick skinned/49 hardy and elemental defender

GREEN TREE
48 warlord/64 mooncal/64 tenacity/44 tumbling

BLUE TREE
23 blessed/51 master at arms/75 mighty 20 thurma/51 precise strikes

Feel free to comment away and say what ever you feel about this build and like many others, im "crazy" to run kena x2 but it works for me and i like it.

Was planning on running this exact gear setup on stam sorc once the dlc hits console.

this setup works on all stamina classes, i have a 9.6k heroic tool tip on my stamplar so you would get higher on stam sorc due to passives and if u ran bound armour, more regen, i will be runnign this on my stam sorc as i play him alot but run ransack imo for cheaper costs even with kena up.

I will be running bound and ransack. With the cost reduction of sorcs it costs next to nothing even witk kena up.

I was running 5 marksman, 5 blessed and 2 kena during home stead. That was a great skirmisher setup. Blessed might only silence one person but 100% damage reduction for 5 seconds on one player is underated. I liked to be able to silence bomb blades or Radiant spammers. Plus in 1v1 situations the silence allows you to be able to dark deal without being interrupted or having to LOS behind a tree.

Hey looks good, are you running 3 X wpn dmg on jewels?
    Xbox one EU
8 Flawless conquerors on all class specs (4 stam, 4 magicka)
    Doesn't stand in red

    i did the math..

this setup (willows path and kena) performs not on any stamclas equal. its kinda:

    stam sorc>stamplar, stamdk, >stamden>stamblade

    why?

stamsorc needs to be in heavy and get profit out of magica reagen equal as stam. since they lack of good class spamable skills they are a way more often light attacking than all the others (conecutive)

on the bottom stamblade in medium armour and with a standard surprise attack - la weave ofc gets out something from mag reg but stamreg is the same as if u use bone pirate. although i will try kena setup on her :)

    nice idea anyway

yer, i personally like this build as i can put down cleanses when ever i need them which helps fight the meta of mag dks and mag sorcs, also kena isnt just for the outgoing dmg but for the healing too, since loosing major mending healing has been alot lower on stamplar and procing keena in oh crap moments and a pot u can get some nice chunky vigor and rally ticks going. willows and bone is to help sustain the kena so u can run in with it up if u wish to drop a DBOS and jab an an enemy group down.

Lol.. I was just thinking of trying something like this..

Just got my stamplar to 50 and set up with cowards gear/Ravager - but really struggling with stam sustain though - even with Serpent and Dubious.. Also struggling with mag sustain for purges too..

So yeah, I was thinking, what can add sustain for all... Willows!! And then.. hm, but its not enough max stam, or stam recov on its own - Bone Pirate! Gonna lose out a lot on wpn-dmg though..

Also been toying with giving my stamsorc Cowards gear.. not sure what to pair it with though..

This is a solid build man, ty for sharing.

    2 Qs:
NoCP viability: your thoughts on optimal class/other changes?
When to proc Kena in rotation?

5x Bone Pirate, 3 Agility, 2x Troll King, gold weaps, nets me around 2.5k tooltip weap damage unbuffed

Weapon enchant proc, Continuous Attack, Rally and SPC and you'll be flirting with 4k weap damage.

i ran that for a while with 2h and a resto or bow of cowards on the back bar depending on how i was feeling, try putting more points into tenacity if u struggled to sustain and on stamplar u want to hit at least 2k stam regen in heavy armour

yer ive seen that setup alot, but 1st troll king works better in heavy armour due to heavy armour increasing health regen by a % and trollking being a flat amount, 2nd i use to use troll but imo it is cheese now days as i used it to counter procs but now most of them are gone i dont feel i need it any more. and medium armour makes u squishy as hell any way. in my screenshots none of them had continiuous so dmg would be just under 5k using kena

    np man, happy to share,

as far as no cp, i use it in no cp and bgs the way it is although like i said i will swap on my 2 pieces of healthy armour to keep my health high enough to not get burst

Yeah, I have just over 2k regen.. It just dropped sooo fast.. I'm guessing I may have just been fighting a lot of poison users at the time (+ havn't unlocked the snb ult yet, which helps a lot with resources when on the defence).

Remembered why I don't use Bone-Pirate much now... I don't have the jewellery - and really can't face any more dungeon farming..

On a side-note though, been experimenting with a willows/invigorating magsorc build.. The sustain is great, but I need to tweak the dmg output a bit, I think.. Who needs Amberplasm!

lol that last bit sounds interesting, but yer people wonder why i run such high regen but stamplars have to sustain via flat regen pots and heavys and repent when enemies go down and the chance of getting cost poisons on you is too high for my liking to sit at a low stam regen count on my stamplar, also 2.5k allows me to sustain kena.
