Even though they outline that they can do whatever they like, shouldn't ZOS listen to their paying consumers? And changing an item that someone paid for is crap. I paid for that outfit. Not this new one. Just bad game design practices. Even if they feel like it looks better with big shoulders, you shouldn't change an item people purchased.

I agree though, they probably won't care enough to change it back.

I'm not saying they can't change it.
It's just it's sad that I pay for a costume I really do like and have a toon to put it on that it looks good on until they alter it and make it worse and not good looking anymore. :| I just wish they wouldn't change costumes.
(maybe change the costumes that looks alot alike. Like a costume you can earn in-game looks a whole lot like 2 costumes you could buy :| )

The DB robes were altered too. Not sure when, only noticed recently.

    What it looks like now...
    r8m6zzI.png

I don't have a before image but that Julionos White used to cover the whole robe instead of just the cowl. It looks like the rest of the robe is the same color as the DB pin on the chest, which is the dye from having a lvl 10 werewolf. The third color varied among my characters but those two colors were the same on all, so now all my characters robes look like crap.

I don't know why they have that affection for big shoulder pads to begin with. You equip the Pirate Skeleton shoulders for example, and you look like some dude straight out of the 70's. And there are more like those. I just wish we could change styles in dropped sets already.

Yes, they altered them but.... not for fix their dye problems! For example, in that costume, you can't dye the red parts of it, and it's annoying...

I originally thought that may be the case, but I doubt it. I assume it would be just as easy to make them all white again by changing the spot I used werewolf grey on to Julionos White, making the whole thing white even most the accent pieces. I no longer have the ability to check. These were all dyed when I was still a sub, and didn't notice during the free eso+ event.

It feels more of a bug than an intentional change.

    The law says otherwise.

A European court has ruled that digital items are real in the eyes of the law. Consumer law is big on what you buy is what you get (and keep).

EULAs are also not necessarily binding. The stuff-can-change-so-suckit clause in the EULA reasonably applies to things like abilities, which need to be tweaked for balance purposes. It doesn't to something like a specially purchased cosmetic item.

To the OP, if it seriously bothers you, try asking for a refund. [snip]

I believe the only viable solution to this issue of personal taste is further Customization... I'm shocked and amazed at how detailed the Character Creation screen is only to fall short on the Costume Color/Texture when compared to other platforms... They should allow us to dye each piece: Head, Chest, Pants, boots etc. just like the regular armor pieces. Also mix and matches would be great.

Not direct complains, like "my sholders are too flat", but complains about costumes clipping to shoulders, hips etc. These changes might be answers for that.

They've altered a few costumes, particularly in regards to shoulders which have been made to float in many cases. Thankfully, Gina said in another thread that this particular costume will be fixed in a future patch.

(And I'm really hoping the floating, haircut-giving shawls on the Mages Guild robes are fixed with it! It's been a year since that was made to float).

I won't speak to heavy or medium armor, but when it comes to light armor (and costumes designed to look light light/mage armor) I absolutely hate shoulder flappers and hip flappers. Ugh. I reject countless styles and costumes because of this.

Well if that's the case, they need to just remove this stupid crotch flap from Cavalier of the Sworn oath. It clips on certain body types and hangs too far out on others

Giving y'all a heads up with the armor and costume coloring. It looks different based on what setting your graphics are on. Some colors look one way in minimum settings, look another way in medium, and look completely different in high and ultra high settings. Try playing around with that.

I remember a couple years back (has it been that long) when I logged into the PTS and noticed that Zos changed the look of my beloved Servants Robes.

    I was like "please don't :( "

And Zos was like "well, ok. We won't change it."

    And I was like "whew."

They changed the compatibility between the Morag Tong Spatter Lenses and the "Clever Man" Wizard Hat. I had them both on a character and they used to work:

    VgtADRi.jpg

And now, it's either the goggles or the hat, and it's dumb. It simply doesn't display the goggles when the hat is worn (it acts as if 'no facial accessory'). The goggles will work with other hats, including the Fibonaccus Spiral Hat (wrong look for this character) that also came out of the same crown crate batch as the "Clever Man" Wizard Hat. Other eyewear also works with the "Clever Man" Wizard Hat, such as the Dwarven Monocular Contrivance and the Dwarf-Style Sun Goggles (both also the wrong look for this character).

I searched the patch notes for the last couple weeks and found no mention of this change being made, so what gives?

I'm annoyed by this -- I was so pleased with the combination when I discovered it; it made my character (whose RP is of a Monster Hunter) look so dang cool.

I've been bug reporting the Dunmer shoulders for so long I'm just thrilled to finally get a response somewhere. At not one point did I EVER get a response through the in-game ticket system (which is the system they want you to use!). And I did follow the instructions for "if you want a response to your ticket, do X, then Y..." I feel like all the tickets just go into a spam box somewhere. :'(

Yup. most likely they do go to some 'spam box'.
but apparently @ZOS_GinaBruno was in another post talking about the same dunmer shoulders and a fix should be in a future patch.

    This is just disgusting.

I've read about expensive houses that have been changed out of the blue, didn't know they did it also with costumes.

I would be pissed beyond imagination if they make some moronic change (like this one) to one of my costumes.
