Why even bother with Plague Doctor and Green Pact?

So nerfing sharpened this patch wasn't enough. Plaque Doctor and Green Pact have also been nerfed. Although, still not too bad with the combo, but, why even bother with shriveling down PD and GP? What PD and GP ever done to people? Damn, Zen/developers, you guys are just a whole load of nerfing sunshine, constantly bringing the rays of nerfing. Why you guys messing with tanks again? Why are you guys keep going backward with this game?

Oh, not to seem so seemingly negative.. I'll add a bit of positivity. Is it me or the graphics seem a bit better with this patch. Things seemingly are looking clearer and better, yeah? Also, kudos and thank you for the extra 30 CPs.. however, no thank you nor kudos for you all's continuous nerfing (mudballs sent to you guys again!)

    it isnt ESO anymore it is now Nerf Online, they want to play nerfs.
    even other game firms played nerf wars in the offices.

    Because with the changes to 1-4 pieces, not nerfing it would have been buffing the point of both sets pretty drastically.

    Sooo....my tank now has 54k health instead of 56k...lol Oh noes the big bad nerf bat has killed me toon.

    And I agree that plague and green doesn't "needed" a nerf, but they're not BiS, I may say...

    Sorry, but sharpened wasn't nerfed, it was just reverted back to what it was before dark brotherhood.

    They spread the bonuses around so people do not have to be forced into the same BiS gear slots. Buffing certain mundus stones and the 1-4 set item bonuses means that even despite the Plague Doc nerf, my health is still about the same.

    Its called balancing. Something that people have been crying for since the game came out. Now when they actually take huge steps in the right direction people cry "Well I did not want you to balance the stuff I use!"

    Devs don't 100% rely on player feedback to determine what needs fixing. They rely on game telemetry so they have hard data to look at when it comes to what does and does not need a nerf. Player feedback just helps show them where they need to look.

    Mine was about 71.(something) k, but now it's around 67.something k. Again, it's not so bad still with a few thousands hp less, but still.. why? There is no need for nerfing; any nerfing in this game. Zen/developers, quit messing with the toons with your "big bad nerf bat."

    I was pretty disappointed with the nerf to plague doctor. All though happy when Necro, Spriggans, Spinners was nerfed as well to balance it out.

    Nope, sharpened always had the same value since console release, that said it was also always ridiculous that it negated so of a players armor, especially for light and medium users.

    In my opinion, these 2 sets were not just overperforming, they were just popular.

    Lots of people were using them in their builds cause they work pretty well, just that, well... not overperforming or anything. But sadly that's the way they do, running like headless chickens after anything that becomes popular to nerf it down. In this case even when there was not even point on nerfing, cause as i said, the two sets together were not the summum of cheese or anything, they work just fine.
    The nerf is not too bad, honestly they still perform good, i ran vDSA some days ago, and they together are fantastic. On the last boss i was able to tank him with no problems far from the rest of the group (not obviously just thanks to the sets, but thanks to a polished and well thought build).

    So yeah, if you guys ever found a cool combination of sets dont make it too popular, or uncle nerfZOS will drop the hammer again.

    Plague Doctor did get some attention since some pvp guilds started using it on everyone since desto + vd covers your damage. Not pointing any fingers ;)

    ZOS buffed stat bonuses from gear, so 5pc sets had to get nerfed. Its just a yo-yo of buffing and nerfing cycles until ZOS realizes that this game of vertical progression via resource and stat inflation is a losing strategy that just frustrates players and makes balancing tedious and frustrating.

    So much of the game is based off your stats. Your total stat pools affect damage, shields, heals etc. But ZOS keeps giving sets that give bigger stat increases and more CP points that also give bigger stat increases which then increases damage, heals, and shields. So to balance that, they nerf 5pc bonuses.

    One day, hopefully ZOS (and a part of the playerbase) will learn that Vertical Progression is BORING and leads to an unbalanced game that has to be constantly re-balanced with soul crushing nerfs.

    5pc bonuses should add UTILITY, not just more stats. If ZOS just capped the effect stats had on heals/shields/damage after a certain point. (Lets say 35k for magicka/stamina and 45k for health) then this would mitigate the power creep caused by stat stacking and lead to less nerfs. Sets with 5pc stat bonuses (plague doctor, necropotence, draugr) would still be good for hybrid builds and we would have a lot less nerfs.

    I kept both my sets on my tank. I dont have grossly oversized shields on my allies but its still fun af to play the guy who never [snip] dies :)

    They need to nerf them, bcos everyone is using them cos they are too powerful the health build, which creates a problem, cos all other sets becomes useless. Also, creating a too powerful never die tank is a mistake that they should nerf it out.
    After the nerf, some other sets and some other kinds of tank build have a chance at playing finally.
