PS4 Pro, ESO and OLED Television ...

Ladies and gentlemen:

I plan to upgrade shortly to the aforementioned products, and I am wondering: Will ESO look better on an OLED TV being played via a PS4 Pro? Or is the difference minimal?

I wouldn't recommend to buy an OLED TV if you plan to use it for gaming. These TV's are (like Plasma before) prone to burn in's. ESO has some static GUI controls that are always visible and that can not be disabled (on a PS4).
PS4 Pro with 4K/HDR looks gorgeous on a normal LCD, that it was I bought.

I have HDR 4k tv, however I turned ESO graphics back to 1080 instead of 4k, cos it lags and crashes more often on 4k graphics. Defeats the purpose of getting a good tv really.

That's not my personal experience, the Pro crashed as often as the normal PS 4 my friends use. You have the choice between these setting (not explained clearly):
    • 4K with enhanced resolution
    • 1080p with better effects (water, etc). Is also slightly darker then the 4K setting.

LCD or LED? The salesperson I've been talking with said LEDs are the norm now, with OLEDs being the next wave.

And, just to be clear, it's only OLEDs that might experience this? The searches I did indicated some folks had issues with IR and IBI, but not everyone had the same experience.

Samsung claims its QLED series solves the potential issue of IR and IBI.

Have folks with OLED TVs playing ESO noticed issues such as IR and IBI on their TV sets?

Same claims from Panasoic a few years ago for their Plasma TVs and still Destiny managed to burn in it's controls permanently on it (after playing it for a year every day). I personally wouldn't take that risk anymore,
