eso64.exe file no longer works

Just updated to new patch and suddenly the "eso64.exe" file no longer works. @ZOS_GinaBruno have the removed 64-bit in this update??

Just tried to launch from patcher too... have selected "Run 64Bit Game Client" and selecting 'Play' will not load the game. To play I have to manually launch from eso.exe.

Update: Just deselected the above 64Bit option and game will play from launcher... obviously using x86 version. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit.

Maybe the update on that just "failed" like with the master writ style display in the german client. ZOS never fails to surprise on these patches.

The first time I tried to patch, it gave me an error that a file was in use, I closed error and it asked me to repair. I repaired, still got the same error. I then shut down and restarted, game seemed to successfully update but now 64Bit version won't work.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Any help with this would be much appreciated, would like to have 64-Bit version accessible again. I know the 'eso64.exe' file still exists in the folder but it no longer has the Elder Scrolls icon and as I mentioned before, it will not activate when clicked nor will 64-Bit version launch when selected within the Launcher settings.

FIXED! I ended up restarting my system AGAIN... and doing yet another repair... this time it downloaded something additional versus last repair and this time 64-Bit works. I don't know why this occurred, but it took two repairs for the game to be back to normal again after this update.

Aand 32bit just crashed.... pff.. think I'll go and play something else.

I would suggest repairing your client and if not try running client with administrator privileges.

Having the same issue, both the 32 bit & 64 bit aren't working. I've tried repairing and running as admin, i hope uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting fixes it but if not then i'm not sure what to do.

I'd already done a few repairs - simply because the patch failed... but running the launcher as admin then doing a repair seemed to fix it.

I finally got mine to work,i manually used launcher as administrator,then in game options menu I used repair,it got up and going,hope this helps

I could say I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one having an issue with this last patch, but I wouldn't wish having to deal with these type of headaches on anyone.

I uninstalled, reinstalled, then restarted my computer then ran a repair which seemed to fix it for me.

The 64.exe was giving me trouble since last weeks maintenance. Numerous crashes. Ran a repair, files downloaded, thought it was fixed until it started crashing again. Gone back to using the standard shortcut.
