Have you ever seen anybody try to do that? It just looks wrong on the pictures they post, and the cat hates it even more than they hate having a shirt and play statue when they have one.

Makes me think....why do we have pants at all in the ESO world designed around a similar time period in our real world where there were no working toilets or even outhouses, just pits for relieving into over a railing?
Skirts are a necessity for quickly and discretely dealing with day to day life.
All the character lower torso models are androgynous with nothing showing . We found out after a bug that rendered NPCs with zero clothing . With Khajiit these areas are just completely covered in fur texturing so the need for underwears seemed redundant . There are all kinds of animal characters in animation , even Disney movies where the creators did not feel it was explicit to not cloth the character . Why they do here is a mystery because there is nothing to see anyway .1 -

16BitForestCat✭✭✭✭✭I want to change out my underwear--both color and style--for three reasons:
1: I think it's absolutely ridiculous that my characters are wearing the fanciest in dyed costumes and crafted gear, yet they're all still running around in the hideously ugly, monotone, tattered-looking under-rags they were wearing as prisoners in Coldharbour.
2: Most of my characters don't adhere to the so-called "gender binary" and wouldn't go around wearing things like bras and panties and teeny tiny tighties anyways. They'd rather wear, say, something like bodysuits, or short wetsuit-style things, or one-piece swimsuit-style things, or tank tops with boxers under their clothes (I'm just using modern terms for the sake of simplicity--I'm sure ESO fashion lore could come up with similar looks that'd be more lore-friendly). And even my characters who WOULD wear bra and panties or tighties would DEFINITELY prefer to wear ones in nicer styles that don't look like they've been chewed on by a hundred puppies and then dragged through the mud.
3: I've been playing this game since beta, and I STILL find it hilarious when a random group of people starts taking off their clothes and dancing in the middle of town. On a more serious note...
I have always felt a bit vexed that the "underwear" in ESO looks so "modern underwear/bikini style" instead of properly medieval-ish. Especially since I love roleplay and occasionally it just makes no sense to be in full armor when relaxing at the beach, taking a dip in the ice water or diving for treasure (well, roleplaying it anyhow, darn the lack of underwater exploration...) I think it best to forego menting the other kinds of rolepay... oops, already did above!
And thus I would love to see more options there, either as selectable underwear choice, or as add-on costume like the nordic bathers towel (which definitely should be refitted to the bathers in the eastmarch bath salt quest!) - or both!
From breton wool braies to altmer embrodied silk unmentionables, from wood orc leopard skin thong to akaviri fundoshi/sarashi-style undergarments, from ancient redguard (egyptian-greco style) loincloths to the red sonja chainmail bikini (or scale mail, since that's what I recall from some drawings).
They could also just make the underwear colorable (with the danger that some may make it skin colored to RP as nudists with underwear), or sell many different colors (no-skin-hues) and designs for it (guess which might make them more money... I would definitely want to personalize each and every one of my characters unmentionables in such a way if I could...)
On a less serious note again...
Heck, they could even sell a "full nudity" costume for all I cared... not that that's gonna happen (but think of how many crowns they could charge for versions with larger dangly bits for the male characters! Or female characters too, we should not discriminate! ) Though I -definitely- would want the town guard to arrest all "nudists" on sight, and it ought to negate ANY armor effect while worn... 1 -

How would that be a motivator? The last time I saw my toons undies was during character creation. There is no valid reason for this at all other than to run around esentially naked.
Sure there is. It presents a game play challenge. No armor means no set bonuses, no armor set procs, no armor enchantments, it disables some passives, and you get no additonal protection. It is just your skill in playing the game with the basic class skills, weapons, potions, and food.
I wrote a feedback three years ago when the introduced dyes suggesting that they allow this to be recolored. At the time, I figured that the request would come up a lot more than it actually has.

You can tap dance around it all you want, but the truth of the matter is you want the option to color it the same color as your skin tone and streak through Tamriel. You aren't fooling anyone with the lame ass argument of immersion or challenge.

Then please enlighten me with one LEGITIMATE reason for this. Challenge and immersion don't fly. Your "enjoying" the game by running around town naked jumping around like a spaz (which IS what will happen) would pretty much stop me from enjoying mine.
I honestly don't care one way or the other, but it seemed like a reasonable enough discussion. Believe it or not, not every MMO player is a sexually deprived basement dweller.

If I have to keep running into drunk, "naked" Nord men, often accusing women of being witches, could they at LEAST have a little variety in their underpants?? At this point, I'm not convinced I'm not just running into the same "naked" Nord over and over again.
