So I had my Igneous shield up in PvP and somehow I died to a dizzying swing spammer before my igneous shield went down????

SammyFable✭✭✭✭If you're on PC try to have a look at a combat log, i.e. from recount/combatmetrics. This will show you, if your shield absorbed all damage and if not, what type of damage hit you.1 -

✭Not sure what kind of buff you get for Igneous Shield for PvP, but for PvE, Igneous Shield is crap. You get what maybe 4k damage mitigation for a StamDK, while adds and bosses at a dolmen or a world pit is hitting you with a single blast or strike from 4-18k. Yeah, the Igneous Shield isn't helping much. It's why I don't slot it and have to go with the Bone Shield for my DK. So for PvP, I'm sure the Dizzying Swing is knocking out at least what, 5-7k, maybe (I haven't PvP in a long while and forgot how much debuff weapon damages get.) Whatever.. still, a single whack from the dizzying swing would shatter that Igneous like a fragile glass. Then, followed up by another 2-3 successive Dizzying Swing or Wrecking Blows. Yeah, you're toast if you're just relying on that Igneous. Crying shame what they have done to Igneous Shield. It should be criminal, man!0 -

✭✭✭✭Because your igneous shield is probably like 2k in PvP....
The first 2k damage the skill does to you wipes out your 2k shield. The rest of the skill's damage then goes on to your health.Edited by Brrrofski on August 29, 2017 12:57PM1
