Can I play ESO on latest MacBook Air (2017)?

The specs of the current MacBook Air are as follows:

1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory
128GB SSD storage1
Intel HD Graphics 6000

Will it run ESO without overheating to death or anything?

Can you play? Yes. Will it function well? Probably not. If you just plan on causal pve at very low graphics settings you'll be fine. Other than that you might be in trouble. The game itself will take up half your storage. You can probably run it at minimum settings and get reasonable frame rates in most normal pve areas. Might even be all to bump the graphics a little and get about 20-30fps. PvP and 12 man trials are going to be a very different story.

I have a macbook air from earlier this year and it can run the game on the lowest graphics without any addons. Looks like crap but the fan becomes really loud.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

    Down with drama!

It's not going to be my main gaming machine. I would just use it to play very occasionally when I'm out and have hours to kill.

What I'm worried about is that it will overheat, even on low settings. I've read random posts here and there talking about MacBooks overheating severely when running big games.

Mmmm. Pretty pricey piece there. I wouldn't run dungeons or PvP on it. Crafting, research, trader maybe. The fan non stop running means- stop it!

I probably ran eso on an far crappier machine back after launch, purpose was horse feeding and research while on vacation but I quested some too.
You might want an lesser populated base as fewer players is less lag.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
