Why isn't there a discount for the standard Morrowind upgrade?

During this current discount sales event, both of the Morrowind's Collector Edition upgrades are being discounted as well as all the crowns buying options, and even the 750 crowns are discounted/on sale. So, why is the standard Morrowind upgrade not being offered the discount like the rest during this event? I'm just curious.. Well, I'm surely not dropping $40-60 on the Collector's editions or $40 on the standard. However, my cheap arse would probably purchase the standard if it had been discounted down to $20 or so. On a more inviting note (I hope), the 5500 crowns for $24 doesn't seem bad at all.

Console? I guess they don't have to do the same sales that Bethesda does.

Bethesda has the standard Morrowind upgrade on sale for $29.99 (instead of $39.99). As far as I am concerned, this should be the regular price.

They want to rob you as much as they can?

I haven't even bought Morrowind and why should I? The warden is total trash, battlegrounds are just as bad and most the locations are closed apparently lmao so no thank you.

    I'll buy it when it's 5 or 10 bucks

Many are enjoying BGs and wardens have cleared all content on HM.

Besides the fact you have no direct experience your oppinion on those aspects, especially BGs doesn't hold much weight.

To OP, Zos isn't ready to place it on sale yet. Means sales are still decent. Especially since the original game was on sale by this point iirc.

I would probably buy the standard edition if it was discounted, so I'm disappointed too. It isn't worth the full price for me.

Edit: Just saw that it is actually discounted but is still $40 CAD, so that's not much of a discount. I'd probably have grabbed it if it was $20-30.

Consoles always have to pay a higher price because the parents of all the screeching children on them buy their brat what they want. Mostly the 18 rated games getting dumbed down because of this, shooters for example, used to have realistic gore, now, you can't even swear without getting penalized on an 18 rated game that has swearing in the story line.

It is why I stick to PC, most parents won't go out and spend crap loads on a PC when they can get a console and ease of setup.

But yeah, that's why. Why price lower than every other console game on the market when you can still get everyone to buy at full price, because "parents".

    Rant over lol.

Yeah it is weird, why would the collectors edition be discounted but the standard not? I have not looked so cannot confirm this is the case though.

This sale must be on their direct website. It's still showing $39.99 on the PlayStation store and on this Elder Scrolls online store site. I'm just curious on why they left out the standard among the others. I guess they're trying to sell the higher price contents. However, as I said before, even the lowest crowns bundle of 750 are on sale. Ha ha. Ehh, even $29.99 would still be too much for this cheap arse, in regards to this game. However.. if Bethesda/developer or whoever the power that may be have not been nerfing toons/things so damn much, I would probably have enjoyed ESO much, much more and would support them more and probably wouldn't have any problem dropping the bucks for it. Likewise, take Dragon Age, The Witcher and the Assassin Creed's series, just a few for example. I enjoyed those games so much (because there were no nerfing with each progressive games or title), I bought all the DLCs and add-ons. Every successive characters and titles, it just got buffed and better. Sorry, didn't mean to go off in a tangent from this thread.

Keep in mind that Bethesda is different from Sony and Microsoft. Bethesda is directly selling only to the PC/Mac crowd, not console players, and that might also exclude the Steam people. If you are on PS4, you buy from Sony, at what Sony charges, when they charge it. Bethesda can certainly work out a deal for a coordinated sale, but the way I understand it, if some part of Sony doesn't want to play along, they don't play along.

Nerf vs Buff is all about feelings and preferences. ZOS likes to favor bringing over performing things down rather than raising things up to match. I actually prefer this because it limits power creep. Even games that like to buff are going to eventually bring everything back in line or sneezing on some squirrel will do 400 million damage, and still not kill it because it has over a trillion hit points.

To me, what is more important is how all of this plays against the content.

Ahh, nevermind.. the sale just popped up on the PlayStation store. Now it coincides with this Elder Scrolls Online web sales. However, why so greedy there, Zenimax? The standard Morrowind upgrade should be $9.99 or perhaps, $14.99. I'm just basing it on other popular games' DLC/expansions, and nevermind that it's being called a chapter. Still, greedy.. tis, tis..
