Why can't we expand the chat window?

It's just way too small. Why not just give PC players the option to expand as much as they want?

✭✭✭That's weird. I play at 1366*768 resolution and I can expand the chat window alllllll the way. Here's an example.
Edit: come to think of it, I do use pchat addon though. Is it because of that? Thought I could always change chatwindow size, even without it...guess will have to check later.Edited by Magdalina on August 25, 2017 12:07PM0 -

Lol. A big duhh from me for not thinking to look for this. Was just trying to expand the window the other day as I very rarely see when someone is talking to me0 -
Fherrit✭✭✭@Remag_Div Not sure if this has been solved for you or not, but on the PC at least, resizing the chat window is relatively easy if obtuse.
To make the chatbox wider- put your cursor over the chat box where it says "Chat"
- drag entire chat box over a bit towards the right (consider this a working space)
- move your cursor to the left edge of the chat box, just past the border on the left side
- you'll see the cursor change from a single arrow, to a double arrow
- To make the chatbox bigger, drag the double arrow left, to make smaller drag double arrow right. Do this till you got the horizontal dimensions you like.
- move cursor back to above over "Chat"
- drag newly sized chatbox to your position of choice
To make the chatbox taller, its the same process only after you've dragged it into a working space, position your cursor on the bottom of the box till a double arrow forms, and then drag up/down to resize the box's vertical dimensions, then as above, reposition to your preferred place on the screen. Hope this was helpful, no addons necessary

✭Wait, you have to resize from the left edge of the window? Who the hell thought that up? EVERYTHING in windows/Mac/Other Misc GUI is resized from the right edge/bottom-right corner. Why isnt' this the same?1 -
