CHILDREN? Of characters!

Having children in a game like this is just an invitation to people that feel attracted to children. Especially if they act as "pets". I'd rather not have that.

No. I didn't want children in real life and I don't want them in my games either.

    I like being childless.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

On that, I tend to agree, and I'm happy that there are no minority-age-looking children in the game, I wish they weren't in any game, and that any offspring should take the form of mine, as pretty much happens in ESO. Though I didn't define mine as being of minority age, simply that they are the young adult offspring of their parents, just like you see in ESO's open world.

And that's what I do in Sims, too, use whatever function to age chars straight to adulthood, because I don't like kids in games.

I can just imagine zone chat if minor-aged characters were introduced, as if zone chats weren't bad enough. *shivers*

So, I voted yes, but I've misread the question, though I would like to be able to have a character of mine follow another character of mine around the way a pet does if you've got more than one character. Said character follower shouldn't fight, though. Technically, the character would be a non-combat pet.

It was kind of annoying the last twenty times it happened but in skyrim when you'd come home and bandits would kidnap your family and you'd have to crack some skulls to save them it was neat because it added a bit of flavor to housing. In ESO housing is like 98% decorating which is pretty boring imo. So maybe having a virtual family could add a bit of flavor if it was done correctly. As far as summoning your kids as "pets" uhh that is a bit strange.

It would be an option. I don't think they meant High King Emeric to point a shotgun at you adopt or die.

I don't agree with the "blurred" part. Player characters should be able to have sexual intercourse which should be shown in some detail. This game is rated R after all. At least add an option to do it with your in game spouse :)

You can murder people, with blood and gore, but you can't love them. That's pretty absurd.

Find your online soul mate and choose to MATE! The action would be of course blurred just like in the Sims. You and your partner can choose the class but the race will be determined on the parent's races. Your child can stay home, or you can summon as a pet! Watch your kid grow up! YAS??

You already get a monkey if you started playing early enough. That is enough. Get with your mate and pretend your monkey is your offspring.

First of all I don't think it's my place to say, but I will. I recently turned 26 in April of this yr, even though I'm still considered as an adult. I'm still not ready to have children.

At the age of 13, I was moved into foster home. From Foster Home to Foster home I went. Until 2005 that is to now. Once I turned 18yrs old, I almost got kicked out from state, but luckily I got adopted before I got kicked out by the state.

I'm still here where I'm at as well as needed on farm. But it's the reason why I went to Foster care to began with (won't say why) is why I believe I'm not ready to have kids.

I'm still battling my past and really believe I might not be a good parent for my children in future. Until when my time comes when I feel ready and my past not haunt me anymore.

Sure there probably is a lot of foster/former. That highly good chance has worse history than me. They probably have children to, but I truly I believe I'm not ready.

Why do I write this? But before I say, I been reading many comments here in this thread, some good some bad. Many wouldn't want children in game (as well as our characters children)

I will respect each and everyone's decisions as to why, many don't want children from your Characters. However I would like to remind everyone that our children (real life) Is the next generation.

What would our next generation (real life children) do? They give us hope and hopefully fix our wrongs, I have high hopes for our new generation.

In turn, I believe to some extent. That yes we should have Children from our characters, but to certain extent. I agree to no, on having children from characters. As 1 pointed out we could role-play.

Sorry I'm to confusing, I have doubts and I agree strongly, to both sides. Both sides share really good arguments, debate and very nice point of views.

Even though I'm not ready for Children in real life. It doesn't mean I don't want to see other children from other characters, whom have children in ESO.

I believe Tamerial is to empty still, but would love to see. With certain extent to see an option (option only) if and when our character's do have kids and see other Characters kids. What would our next generation in game be like? It would make ESO more unique.

But please give us an option only though, with that being said. Please let there be an option to adopt Children as well, due to reasons stated above in my post.

In conclusion both ZOS and Bethesda will not put an option in both ESO and the next Elder Scrolls Series (Elder Scrolls 6). Atleast not in the foreseeable future. But I wholly agree to both sides. But I think I might say yes and put children from our characters, but option only.

My characters are like my children... I don't need them to procreate and give me more mouths to feed...

I would be happy if we could place all of our characters in our house, and see them doing stuff like sweeping, eating, dancing, reading etc...

It would look like Tamriel had a massive surge in child abuse, as we'd see children running desperately to try to keep up with their parents, who'd be galloping on horseback, and children in the line of fire in the middle of a swarm of monsters.
I'd like to see children in the towns, though.
