So, recently one of my guilds has been getting a lot of new players joining in.
And I found yet another source of joy from this game and its community, something that made me reflect on the subject a little and brought a strong sense of nostalgia.
I like it when new players ask the simplest questions about the game and how everything works in general. It is really enjoyable to see them trying to learn and discover new things on their own or with people’s help, sharing what they have learned so far. I’ve always been kind of against power leveling on your very first character in any game, so I try to recommend people not to seek the ''how to level up the fastest'' guides but take it slow to get the most benefit from your own unique experience. Not judging anyone for doing that, of course, just sharing my personal view.
As a veteran player, I suddenly realized, after all these years, that this kind of experience is gone forever - since you leveled your first or first few characters at the very beginning. Even if you start out a completely new class after playing the game for so long, you’ll never get this feeling anymore. You’ll never ask where to get the cheapest mount, or how does the crafting work, or can you level up ''sneaking abilities'' like in Skyrim, you know, by sneaking a lot

There’s too much knowledge in a veteran player’s head already. It’s not good or bad but just how it is.
So that being said, this is my shout-out to the new players who recently joined the game. First of all, the lack of experience is easy to fix, so try to value your ''newness'', all the things unknown and puzzling. Because it will be inevitably gone after some time if you stick around with this game. And second, thanks for being here and making the game feel more alive and refreshing with your insights and discoveries.
The post might be stating obvious things but who cares. I am sure I’m not the only veteran here who might have the same view. Thanks for reading this.
