We need some more queues (sub-50, solos, premades)

I feel we really need some seperate queues for lower than level 50 players, solos, and premades to help revitalize the Battlegrounds concept.

Right now the issues are numerous: An organized 4 man group can dominate both teams (pugs especially) in almost any game mode to a shut out. Teams full of CP players with one sub 50 level player are given a liability in modes like death matches, especially when the othe teams are full of CP players. Newbies are pitted against veterans who destroy them in less than a second, not allowing them to learn or enjoy PVP.

With new queues we can seperate some of the players to reduce this skill and organizational gap. Solos can choose to continue to queue for premades group queues, if solo queues are taking too long or they want a stat buff. Sub 50s will be able to match up with others around their rank so they can learn better. Premades will also get more challenging fights, which may upset some that have been exploiting the current situation to boredom. If this isn't done however I think we'll continue to see players bleed out from the battlegrounds.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, indeed. Separating full premades from randoms would be already a big step.

It would be great if there was something that encouraged premises and grouped them together but separating solo from premises could very well lengthen the queue times significantly if premises were left out.

    Sounds great on paper.

Taking the pre-made idea a step farther, I want to queue as a group of 12, to fill all 3 BG teams. We would have a lot more guild participation if we knew we would have each other as opponents.

12 man queue where everyone knows each other sounds like a cheaters heaven. Not that I'm accusing you, but it would be abused quickly.

Separating out premades from solo would be a great idea. Id rather have that than pick-your-gametype queues

    I concur.

Need sub 50 queues, need a queue for solo players to fight other solo players, and need a separate queue for premade teams to fight other premade teams.

I think premades may be the only thing lengthened out, but the options I thought to help that were:

    A. A double medal reward to solos that join the premades queue
    B. Stats/damage boost to solos (iffy about any sort if stat boost)
    C. Solos queue into both, but can decline the premades queue to wait for the solo queue if they want.

I think we have the player base to support 3 queues, it's just frustrating to a lot of players with the current setup having one team that is over powered or getting stuck with the albatross pre-level 50.

As a 90% solo Q player I really wonder how many of you actually play BGs regularly. At least on PC EU you can NOT sustain a premade Q with the current playerbase. They would never get a match, there just is not enough premades. There is exactly one (o-n-e, 1) premade that qeues regularly on the entire server. One.

Why should they suffer? I encounter them as a solo Q playwer on a daily basis. I lose more than I win against them. I still don't see why they should be damned to hang in the Q forever.

Additionally, the definition of premade starts at 2 players, how are we going to deal with empty spots?

Your wishful thinking is not realistic. And this is on ZOS. I'd say BG pop is at 10% of what it could've been without paygate, the 10 weeks broken Qs after launch and right after fix 2 weeks no deathmatch on top of it.

ZOS killed the child before it even had a chance to learn to walk, with greed and incompetence. That's not on the few premades that are still hanging on.

I typically queue solo late night on PC-NA server, and I have run and run into several premades running. Supposedly some of the top players on the leaderboards are all running premades as well, but I would not be able to use that as evidence because it's viewed as naming and shaming in this arguement. Instead, if they do play in premades, I invite them to post.

Meanwhile, the "punishment" is the handicap to high organization and party cohesiveness that pugs simply can't match you might think you're ruining the game for 4 friends, but your actually ruining it for 8 players and promoting dull, uncompetitive gameplay for the other 4. Unless it's premade verses premade, or at least players confident in their solo queue build, your not playing on a balanced playing field.

As for how to handle 2 players, you can read back up on my original post with 2 suggestions how to get solo players involved.

Now, it's not about blaming premades, as I would like to accommodate them on their own matches as well. But it simply doesn't work out well when one premade goes against pug groups or when prelevel 50s are tossed into matches full of champion levels in this current meta. Unlike open world PVP there is no siege to counter some of these well made groups and the lacking balance in builds is obvious. So, as you stated, it is on ZOS to fix; by either randomizing more builds amongst teams, seperating your pre levels out, or keeping pre-mades to a higher tier queue, and it's also on them to give better counters to certain builds to give solos a better chance.

There is finally a sub 50 option, but I think it's broken.
Sat in queue for many hours on multiple occasions lately and it never forms a group. It used to work, and was a blast.

I run a premade each night on PC NA. If there were more regular premades, I think a premade-only queue would be great. It just isn't fun for me if we fight two PUGs. Tonight we were goofing around because we couldn't find a challenge.

There are other premades that we run into. There are also some really really good players that queue up solo, and if I see 2+ of them on the same team then I know it'll be a close game because they're all individually better than me (zendrahn and trinitops are the two solo-queuers I fear the most).

There are a few other premades we run into but most of the time it's a duo or trio we recognize, combined with a pug. There's one particular duo of a stamplar and a magplar guard/healer that gives us a ton of trouble, (probably the best group in the BGs ATM) but they seem to play more in the afternoon than the evening (my team is mostly on pacific time)

There are a few non-regular groups that we recognize but not too many groups out there we can't beat. There used to be more, but I haven't seen many of the usual suspects over the last two weeks. I think the BG population has drastically declined.
