Best DW weapon combo

As title States I'm looking for the best combo of weapon types and traits. I will not be min maxing, as in not aiming for trials currently. I am pretty new and at cp 291. Also not using ideal set up, but for fun. I am 5 hundings, 5 Ravagers, 2 night mothers. I chose ravagers for fun and the health bonus from jewelry and set bonus puts me over 20k health with food. Which i feel helps me to live longer. I plan to change the night mothers for a monster set when I get one. Redguard dk dragonknight, stam dps. I am utilising a heavy attack playstyle that I think was a build by alcast recently. He uses trial gear and monster set in his set up, both of which I do not have, as I am pretty new and only just started doing dungeons and dailys for keys.

Currently I use a sharpened mace and infused sword for DW. I know I need more pen as I am low even with noxious breath applied. I am trying to get kraghs shoulder from chest to get pen bonus, so I'm thinking sharpened dagger and either infused or sharpened axe. Is the bleed from axes worth it, or the flat dmg bonus from swords? I'm at 2622 weapon dmg, and 58% crit stat wise. I tested my current build to see how bad I am lol. All purple gear, no pots used, only health and stam food buff, no ultimate. I average 16k dps with a decent rotation.

Again not trying to min max a lot, just trying to make this build a bit better mainly for veteran dungeons, which I have not tried yet. Also how much does your dps go up when you gold out weapons? And all of your armor? Thanks for any advice/help.

An easy to get setup for you would be 5 pcs spriggan (3 jewelry and 2 on the body) then 5 hundings (3 on body and 2 weapons) with kragh actually. You would want to craft hundings daggers(infused mainhand and sharpened offhand). Poison enchant on infused one and weapon damage enchant on the sharpened one. The bleed from the axe isn't that great imo, i prefer the extra crit from dagger.
With this setup you would have alot more penetration and you will do much better damage.
It is always good to have much penetration by yourself as you are only doing vet dungeons and won't have the support you will have in fully optimized raid scenario's.
Weapons should always be gold quality as you will get alot more weapon damage from it.
    Hope this helps

I would like to gold out weapons, but I am hesitant still. When I say I'm new, I mean like 2-3 months playing. So I don't have money or mats to really gold out stuff unless I'm 100% sure. Which is why I am asking really. Thank you for the help and advice.

Use an infused main hand, perferably a dagger, with a posion enchant or stam return enchant, the Stam return enchant is like and extra 200 regen, then a sharp dagger off hand, you will get more pen from the sharp then using a maul. The mauls pen is calculated after all group debuffs, meaning that the more teamwork you have the less they are worth. Off hand dagger enchant is the weapon power one.

Kuma, no reason you should avoid trails with your CP. There are normal trials and you would be just fine.

Further, Alcast has multiple gear builds as he understands not everyone has gear from trials.

His Hundings/NMG/Agility would be good for you since you indicated you do not have a monster set yet. you can craft all but the jewelry and that jewelry should be fairly low price if you do some looking around. He covers everything, weapon types and traits.

Since you are looking to gold out the weapons I would check out the traits he suggests since with the new update nerfed sharpened pretty hard and have yet to see it suggested by the serious raiders that are also theory crafters. The weapon traits are valid regardless of raiding at the top level or reaping havoc across the open lands.

If you want more health you can use health enchants on your gear or reset your attributes.

Haven't played in a while.. but did they eventually fix the dual wield / animation problems that came up with morrowind?

I looked at that hunding/nmg/agility build. It's what I based mine off of. I have the Ravagers pieces which is why ideas using those along with seeing how much of a benefit the weapon dmg proc from it was. Which it seems to proc with nearly every rotation. So almost a constant boost. I made two daggers as his build suggests. But testing it, my damage goes up to 17.5k with sharpened 1h sword and precise dagger than his 2 daggers. With the daggers I get around 16.6k average. The tests are with no pots, or ultimate either. So maybe it will go up a little.

I know it will change with patch as sharp takes a need and warrior mundus will be stronger along with buff to infused. I guess I can take the plunge and gold out the daggers. I can start looking into normal trials, I just didn't want to be carried. I use to be a hardcore raider in other mmos awhile back, so I want to do my best but with my casual outlook now of mainly fun. It conflicts a lot lol.
