shuttering when enemies die

Invoky

Since about a day or 2 ago(probably when ZOS apply the exploit hotfix) my game shutter and freeze when enemies die. I have tried to update my video card driver, disable my addons, or repair the game. None of them seem to fix the issue. Anyone having similar issue?

I am running i7 6700k gtx 1070, 16gig ram. Normally I have 100 fps capped even in town, but when shutter happen it drops to 30-40 fps then back to steady 100 fps again.

Are you speaking of the glitch now where you kill an enemy NPC and it takes a couple of seconds before you see them fall over dead? If so, that is NOT a problem with your drivers, but a bug ZOS introduced in the HOTR patch.

Yes exact same issue as you describe. However I didn't receive it when HOTR came out. I was still fine doing trial on day 1 or 2 after update released. This only happen started 2 days ago after they try to hotfix some exploit.

Someone was saying that this issue was being caused by a crafting(!!?!) add-on, 'AI Research Helper' or something like that, disabling it solved the issue for them.

No idea why a crafting add-on would be trying to handle a combat event (... possibly if auto-loot is turned on and it's trying to track items with traits maybe?). But if you have it, try disabling it and feed back here...

I've also had this problem intermittently. It happened on my magicka nightblade on Saturday. I'd kill one thing and the screen would hiccup and not update for a split second. Kill multiple mobs and my screen became a slide show. It seemed to only happen when something died that granted me exp, as killing critters and boss adds did not cause the problem. I disabled all of my add-ons but it did not help. I did not have this problem on my stamblade, or magicka sorceror.
