Actually he is-- he paid for 30 days of time, 2 of those days have been nullified, he is entitled to at least 2 days compensation for paid services not provided. That's... sort of the idea of a subscription. In all such games.

No one pays for 30 days of game time, or any game time in ESO. It is a B2P game. An ESO+ is purchasing bonuses it provides. Gameplay is free after initial purchase, indefinitely .

Which reduces research time. Which works even when server is down. So actually, ESO+ members still get to use the product they pay for even when game is offline...

Just bought this game 5 days ago and it seems its down as much as up. Is this normal? Oh and I am entitled to an answer. My credit card my rules. I know I know. You don't care. Neither do I. Enough crap and enough leave and Your little kingdom flushes. I really hate smart assed people that open their yap when someone voices a legitimate complaint against something they feel that they are the king of. Its really simple. Smart mouth paying customers and see how it goes. I have bought the game. I have a plus account. I AM entitled because I Fing said I am!

I bet you are the guy that runs up and grabs the chest while someone else is clearing the mobs to get to that chest.

Oddly enough - The majority of the people who do that to me are the maxxed out vets.

Well, you seem like a great addition to the community...

No, it isn't normal. And no, you're not entitled. You ticked that T&Cs box when you bought the game. Read them.

I understand it's frustrating when servers go down, but jesus, go do something else for a few hours.

Actually he is-- he paid for 30 days of time, 2 of those days have been nullified, he is entitled to at least 2 days compensation for paid services not provided. That's... sort of the idea of a subscription. In all such games.

And I do NOT believe that the wording of the TOS means that you pay a monthly sub and the game provider does not have too supply a good faith monthly sub.
The sub is a monetary contract.
    It specifies payment and time.
When the time is with-held, the faith is broken.

Money payed in good faith of playing as a good player, respecting fellow players, and not exploiting code.

If they chose not to honor it, they ought not accept the payment.
Accepting payment, and rendering 2 weeks of sub time in a month (for example) does not equal a monthly sub rendered to the payer.

This does NOT apply to disciplinary action for infractions.

    otoh:
White Knights have to keep the player base in line.
Every request is always deemed a 'demanded entitlement'.
Know your place, or they shall taunt you a second time.

by all means use a totally different situation to argue your point. a situation where i, and im sure others who oppose your line of thought, agree that zos would come to the party and rightly so. whereas the current situation is nowhere near as dire as people are claiming with their 'days of downtime' claims that are completely false.

By the same token, Zenimax isn't entitled to getting our money either. The downtimes, high pings due to server issues, modifying the definition of DLC with sleight of hand, are eventually going to push players out of the game. Then the TOS won't matter at all.

It's very reasonable as paying customers to expect the service to be up aside from scheduled maintenance and that the connection quality of the server will be usable and not pinging so high you can't do basic things in the game. It's also very reasonable to expect information on when the server will be back up other than smarta** remarks about its done when its done.

It's been down for 21 hours. So less than a day.

ESO+ is subject to same terms an conditions of the game. So therefore....

He has not. When you subscribe, it's not for game time, it's for bonuses within the game. 30 days is 30 days. It's not 30 days of play time, the countdown doesn't stop amen you log off.
