Receiving high bounty for stealing

Baconatorz
can anyone confirm if this is a bug or intended feature, i got 4620 bounty for killing some high-lvl targets like nobles and mages instead of the usual 900. I had a post about this in the bug section but got no answers.imgur.com/TJNFdwY

I believe it was part of the new patch... beggars are easier to steal from and nobles are more difficult. Part of this is likely attracting a higher bounty if you steal from someone who is more wealthy and able to put a higher price on your head?

I noticed the same. I'd get a 560 bounty for killing someone with one witness, now I get 2400 :S

I love how the title says "stealing" and then it turns out it was murder. LOL!
    You monster! :D

I was pickpocketing some drunk and he attacked me, my clannfear didn't like that so he killed him. I ended up with a bounty of 400. Shouldn't my clannfear get the bounty!

the patch notes said that stealing would be harder from some targets - it made no mention of increased bounties

there are multiple thread on this topic no and still no response as to whether it is intetional or not

and yes 'pets' should get the bounties if they kill things by themselves!

No way, there are no bad pets only the bad people that own them. Give the pet a Scooby Snack and whomp the player with a sword!

And I am beginning to think the added bounty was a planned change and for some reason didn't make the notes.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

I disagree with this you are responsible for the actions of your pets. If you summon a deadra you should get the penalty if it kills some innocent. If you want to go thieving without that risk don't take the pet.

Daedra killing the innocent is why most cities have leash laws now.

I stabbed someone with a knife. Shouldn't the knife go to jail?
