Was good. Cry babies got it nerfed, and will probably do so with Oblivion Damage.
Move on

Oh youre right, the cry babies will get the next thing nerfed. The real problem is ZOS they arent buffing enough sets to make choice actually viable. i mean we are starting to get there but horns is going to be 4-5 sets tops in cyrodiil.
BlackRose is the perfect example it was BIS for a long time for a lot of builds. ZOS left it and then the QQ became to much. They could have lifted other sets up, but its always nerf first hope for the best. Black Rose now is only useful on a stam DK that isnt a magi based race.
However in fairness to zos when you ride the wave of millions of players (per firor) you have to keep them on the treadmill, gear treadmills are mmo proven. Hence every update 70% of what was good last update goes in the crapper, like Black Rose.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L8kYsXg5jQ
you've sadly misread the magnificent nostalgic value of the black rose set...it's been in my closet forever - and, it still looks good...
use it from time to time on my stamplar and stam dk...both characters are werewolves...
the set seems to work well with other sets - defensive, or offensive...nice filler gear when you don't know what else to wear...
i think you also like the idea behind the black rose. its really cool but mathematically it performs veeeery poorly. shame...

@Cyrediath :'( :'( :'(
honestly, one of my biggest griefs about the game is all the *** math...ugh, it's painful...
I have a bit of a altoholism issue...on top of that I'm into gear, so, I change characters every day and each of their gear every couple of months...
I don't have the inclination/intelligence/insight for going through all the numbers...
I read set descriptions, check the forum and play...
I wish I had the sense/desire to run the math myself...or, even watch videos - of people whom have done the math...i read threads - I'm normally a patch or two behind most trends...
one last point reference black rose - it converts to imperial heavy

Just farm something is always the way to obtain anything. As if normal raids would be any harder to complete.
Spent about 30k on some jewelry to test my hybrid: Blackrose + Shacklebreaker + 1 kena (2h and staff)... Was disappointing (would have tried it in PTS if the template crafting skills were lvl 50)...
It was great too good in fact now it's useless and won't get any better since its been nerfed so move along :'(
