Soul Shriven in Coldharbour

I have a character that is in Coldharbour in the process of escaping with Lyris and have just been approaced by a hooded figure who carries the quest Soul Shriven in Coldharbour. No doubt she is going to tell me about a benefactor and that in turn is going to return me to Coldharbour
This character was created some time ago and parked in Coldharbour just before Morrowind came out and I have been playing characters from that since. The prophet has talked to Lyris and she in turn wants me to talk to her.

✭✭✭✭Holy weirdness....Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis1 -
Skogsalf✭✭✭Had the same thing. My cat in the wailing prison was just approached by the hooded figure. When I talked to her she told me about her benefactor, but the dialog didn`t go any further. Also, Lyris is gone, so my poor cat might be stuck in that horrible place forever now...1 -
Ragnork✭✭✭✭✭Okay - so I failed to talk to the hooded figure and she has gone, but so has Lyris and so now I can not escape the wailing prison...0

Ragnork✭✭✭✭✭I should have mentioned that my alts in coldharbour started in vvardenfell and accepted to goto coldharbour. They were left in coldharbour whilst I played other alts.
Now after the patch 14th Aug. the problems come.
My alts in coldharbour are now trapped.0 -

Ragnork✭✭✭✭✭Started a new character. After sorting things out at Vvardenfell decided to visit Auridon to make armour and weapons. Used the wayshrine. As soon as I arrvied I got the message "started cold shriven in cold harbour" - went to journal and pressed "m" for map to be shown the wailing prison. So the hooded figure is in the wailing prison waiting to give me the quest that takes me to the wailing prison.....

I have run a repair on the game. I have tried playing from a different machine.
The "prophet" quest line is corrupted, if you have started (under the above conditions) you can not continue and if you start a new character you can not start the quest line as it would seem that the hooded figure is already in the wailing prison.
After playing with other alts I have logged back in with my woodelf and the Hooded Figure is in the right place in Auridon... My alts in the wailing prison are still tightly locked up.
Their escape is to die and be re-born.

Move back to the prison door that you come out of with Lyris.
This seems to re-set the quest to "escape cold harbour" - now you need to get back into your prison cell - so use /stuck
the only safe place to put you is back in the cell. Lyris opens the cell and off you go...5 -

✭This thread actually turned out to be a pretty good story. There was a bit in the middle when I was like "nah, that character is screwed" and then boom, happy ending. Worth a read, would give 8 out of 10 on imdb.#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.1 -

I've deleted the others, I guess I'll have to delete this character too.Exploring Tamriel since 1994.0
