Yes, and it is very easy to farm nSO with a 4 or 6man group to get it.

Hmmmm.... I still prefer the extra crit I think. I know its only ~6% but I feel less squishy. Also I dont have a heavy Velidreth piece to get undaunted and Spriggan + Kra'gh feels like over penetrating

Have you tried Twice Fang set & VO? Do you use Velidreth set? Are your daggers maelstrom? Why don't you use 1x dagger and 1x axe?

Also, infused bow? Surely Sharpened bow is better?

I'm trying to work out the best setup for my Stam DK and I have most of the pieces (I believe).

Cant find TFS dw weapons, I use Velidreth (one medium ond heavy), cant beat Frozen Rink (stage 5) of vMA. I use Stam Sorc so I prefer the higher crit for crit surge heals. I tried axe, didnt pull as high DPS for me personally, but thats mostly down to imperfect rotations.

5x VO (3x gold jewellery, chest and legs), 5x Spriggan (waist, boots, gloves and daggers/bow) 2x Velidreth (head and shoulders).

Working on a Stam Sorc build for PvE I don't have Twice Fang I have vicious ophidian still and I like it but I see twice fang and spriggan both do physical penetration just thought they was the same or similar in a way anyone have any ideas what to run if you do not have twice fang yet?

spriggans is getting a nerf soon, twice fanged is already better. After the nerf it will out perform it even more.

Ohh that's good to know :) glad I've farmed the 5 piece TFS set then and golded it out.

So can anybody definitively answer best in slot for Dd stam DK?:

    5x TFS divines (body)
    2x Velidreth (medium or 5-1-1?)
2x maelstrom weapons; sharpened and infused? Dagger and axe?
1x maelstrom bow (sharp or precise)
    3x Vicious Ohpdisn jewelry

    Thanks

    No maelsteom weapons.

Best way to sustain DPS is heavy attack build. You're not spamming flurry, so not making use of Maelstrom weapons. Twice fang, hundings and kragh/veli/mephala is probably best. VO has it's place too.

OK thanks for the info here. It is a shame that Maelstrom weapons are not best in slot :(

So also, with regard to the weapon, does it make a big difference if it is 1x dagger and 1x axe?

Is Hundings Rage a good 2pc set to use then? Along with one of them using the weapon damage glyph and the other using a poison glyph?

Running Spriggans (3x body + 2x sharp daggers), Vicious Ophidian (2x body + 3x gold jewellery) and Kra'gh (1 medium + 1 heavy for undaunted). Buffed with blue health+stam I get:

    18164 health
    36308 Stamina
69.4% crit chance (79.4% if I slot camo hunter or use a weapon crit pot)
3013 wpn damage (3499 with crit surge up)

Well you can go 3x spriggan jewerly 2x body than 5x hundings 2x weapons 3x body 2x Kragh and MSA bow... I get 35k on dummy with this setup and i can sustain... Cheap and effective... =)

That's old info now lol. Got divines heavy Velidreth Shoulder, changed over to Redguard. More like 38-39k stamina, 18054 hp and 75% crit chance now. I keep trying to change to Hundings or NMG from Spriggan but they just dont pull as much damage. Its pretty noticable how much quicker things melt with Spriggan's thorns than the alternatives.

TFS gives 5k pen and spriggans is 4k, that is a 10% damage increase vs a 8% increase. NMG is 2.4k pen or 5ish% increase in damage.

if there is anyone else in the group that is running NMG, you get no benefit from the 5 piece.

the 900 stam vs 3% weapon crit is nominal, so it is best to use spriggans till you get TFS.

FWIW, Spriggan's gives it penetration on every hit and can exceed with 1-piece of Kragh. TFS? Need to run an unrealistic rotation (unless a player or vet boss is going to stand still for 5 minutes while you AOE, drop this, pop that, LA, HA... ) and there are still going to be drops when it's not stacked. You tube in a cancer for video games, especially when videos are from different patch eras.

I don't understand why so many people are slating TFS? Is it really as bad as people make out? Are Alcast's etc builds simply wrong and he shouldn't be using TFS?

Because people is terrible at this game. TFS has been (and will stil be after today's nerf) BIS in many situations.

Haha everybody seems to be saying "Unless you have a perfect rotation" and whatnot. Surely, any build has a rotation, this particular set enhances the fact you use *any* rotation. You will at least have 5 skills in the rotation (if you are any good) so it must be a good set.

Every guide I have read seems to point toward TFS so I don't understand peoples concerns about it. Very strange.

@caperon I have another question; two weapons to use then would be Hundings Rage infused (dagger) and sharpened (axe)?

Poison glyph for sharpened and weapon damage glyph for infused?

Is there a better 2pc set to use for weapons or is Hundings Rage the go-to?

So here is an example where you don't believe in TFS? Why unrealistic rotation? Have you seen any decent established guides, for example, Alcast, who use this set and have great DPS to show for it?

TFS was nerfed this morning, 4300 instead of 5000 Pen.

If someone were to run NMG on one weapon slot it could stay active the whole time as you swap back and forth between weapon bars.
