PvP Achievements & Additional 7-Day Campaign

During the course of the Midyear Mayhem event, we've seen the lengths to which the PvE community is willing to give PvP a try for an achievement & title to the benefit of the health and participation in the available campaigns. What we've also seen in this event is how simple it is for ZoS to add additional campaigns to the roster to accommodate this interest.

In light of this:

1. Additional Achievements & PvE-style rewards should be added to the routine aspects of PvP: titles, achievements, costumes, dyes etc. should be added to the regular mechanics of Cyrodiil for kill streaks, defense streaks, etc. similar to battlegrounds (and more the merrier there as well) to reward remarkable PvP performance. Why there is no achievement for running a scroll, for example, at this point is just silly. Incentivize PvP with such things; it will only make it more interesting across the community.

2. There should be additional Cyrodiil campaigns for both CP and noCP -- it makes no sense, for example, that when the community was upset at the lack of a 7-day CP campaign, the solution was to remove/replace the 7day noCP campaign -- it should be added back in now that we know ZoS can create campaigns from thin air as they see fit. There's no reason to have fewer options.

yeah- sounds good. i was so disappointed- when i ran a scroll the first time.

it was me - late at night- with a bunch of all these other noobs- we thought something cool would happen- like a bunch of gold or titles for running the scroll or escorting the scroll. jack ***.
its meant to be the best thing you can do in the game other than become emp- its capture the flag on a mass scale. give the person who gets the flag an achievement, title and colors- and the party that escorts them titles as well.

    1. Yes, was surprised there was no achievement for scroll running. The rest of the first point really seems like an incomplete thought. The rewards in Cyrodiil are AP based and we get AP for defending and for taking the offense.

    2. History clearly demonstrates that more campaigns ends up meaning more empty campaigns. Empty campaigns are boring. We already know this and is the reason we have fewer campaigns than we had a few years ago.

    Gotta agree here :)

Scroll achievement would be nice :)

There should be a rolling AP tick for defending and running scroll back or a huge AP tick when it's returned like 10k for everyone near it.

Scroll running is boring and you lose out on a lot of AP just running across cyrodiil.

Agree, however on point 2: the extra campaign added for CP is just as dead as the noCP one was -- it seems to exist only to provide a buffer for queue times and remove the strain added to a popular campaign caused by a shared pop cap with people in IC. My point is that if they can add campaigns easily, having a similar buffer campaign for the noCP crowd makes great sense since there are also queues in primetime for the main noCP one -- also its a great place to practice for BGs without encountering zergs. It might be low pop, but there's more reasons to add it than subtract it from the options available to players.

Additional campaigns can't be created out of thin air; these campaigns all already exist, with all their rulesets already set up. ZOS just turn them on and off when needed.

I noticed that the same type of person runs the scroll and sometimes they troll the scroll runner and do not help...but they grab the scroll when the person they didn't help dies.

I agree that there should be some sort of reward, achievement, title, color... anything at all for scroll running, returning, recapturing. There should be titles or colors for the healing achievements, and any number of other activities that basically go unrecognized in Cyro except as a tiny icon in your journal. Field Medic, was brought up in another thread. Seems like an awful lot of war related activities were just outright ignored in favor of "Here's your boring rank title and color"

When I see this happen it's usually because the person who picked up the scroll is a random pug who didn't help siege the keep and is not coordinating with the group making the scroll push. Or if they're not scroll running material at all - like a slow tank. Eg I have a scroll running build and if a scrub pug picks up a scroll my group is going after I know that that scroll will arrive safer, faster, and get delivered to a more strategic location if I let the nub die and run it myself.

Unfortunately a scroll runner achievement would encourage people to pick up scrolls when they don't have a build appropriate for it, doesn't know where to put it, or chooses a bad path to run. All of which risks losing the scroll and isn't good for the faction.

Healers definitely need some achievement love.

True, but if they're not properly equipped to make it all the way to a scroll take they're not going to have to worry about having to carry it properly. Plus nightzerging scrubs already faceroll scrolls so the proposed achievement will only serve to make scroll dynamics more interesting and actually matter.
