Well, on my hard drive:
ESO (Morrowwind) - 56.4GB
Rift - 20.1GB
Lineage II - 25.2GB
SWToR - 31.4GB
Archeage - 25.3GB
Defiance - 30.8GB
WoW - 34.1GB
Lawbreakers (BETA) - 28.9GB
So yes. ESO takes up the most space.

not all of those are true mmo.
most of those are orpg which goes for the hub > instance land approach.
WoW has basic graphics and textures so it doesn't eat up alot pf memory. Same for liniage 2 which is OLD.
ff14 might be bigger. since it had high end graphics, tons of options menues, zones, quests, voice acting, dialog.
What is currently the total GB size of ESO? I think its about 75 GB together with Morrowind, i have it installed but not sure how to check. Is there any other mmo that surpasses that? I know that WoW is around 50GB, FFXIV around 28GB and Guild Wars 2 around 30GB including all their content up to now.
I really don't like this alltogether i thought that the more the technology evolves within the gaming industry the less memory the games will require but it looks like they can't manage to do this and the opposite happens, they become bigger and bigger (mainly mmos) until people stop bothering with them and focus on smaller games.

Here are some I have installed right now apart from ones that have been mentioned.
Planetside 2 - 17gb
Secret World Legends - 48gb
Tera - 42gb
Wildstar - 13gb
Star Trek Online - 23gb

What do you think of all the changes in Secret World Legends? I tried it, but i just didn't a=enjoy combat anywhere as much as i did in the original TSW

I actually havnt had chance to try legends yet. I had a tank that was top level in the original game. Not sure if I care enough to go through all the content again. Especially with ESO being my main MMO.

ESO is around 56.4 GB for the live client. So I guess WoW is close if it is at 50 GB, although I have never played it so I can't check. To be fair, I think ESO looks the best of any MMO I have played, so it makes sense that it would look the nicest.
In regards to your second statement about technology evolving so games should take up less physical space, that has never been the case. As technology evolves what has happened is memory itself has become physically smaller on the silicon wafers, allowing us to stuff more of it into our machines, which in turn allows for better graphics and resolutions.
We do have pretty good compression these days, but you can only go so far with compression before you start noticing loss, or before the cpu overhead of the compression itself starts to become a factor.
That... is possible. I can't see the PTS as a separate installation, it must be counting them as one.
In that case WoW is bigger than ESO as I removed the PTR for that game, unless my add ons are somehow bloating it.
