Or maybe veteran rewards in general should come back imo, why was this taken out of the game so quickly? It's such an awesome outfit. Love the jester outfits.

Its a loyalty reward to those who stuck with the game for the first 12 months or so. It should stay that way.

Not a bribe, more of a thanks for sticking with us with the required subscription but we're changing the business model to an optional sub.

Not a bribe, more of a thanks for sticking with us with the required subscription but we're changing the business model to an optional sub.

^for those of us who paid the freight for the initial game then a monthly sub. Entry fee was 49.99 + the monthly sub, you let the sub run out you didnt get back in.

If they recreate those conditions, I would have no problem at all giving out the mask again. Otherwise why should anyone who didnt fit those conditions have access to it?

This isnt kids soccer, not everyone gets a trophy.

Also, man, those first couple months were rough.

To be clear, the loyalty program wasn't even announced until about a week before the first reward dropped. It was not something people knew was coming. So, not a bribe per say. It was intended to keep people coming back, but still.

And, yeah, I seriously doubt you'll ever see these things pop up again.

Besides Op there ARE heaps of rewards in game that are unlocked via achievements in the game. So you can get unlocks just for playing.

Honestly I really hope so. They started a sub loyalty rewards program but just kind of discontinued it as quickly as it came. Now there's all these assets floating around that might work nicely for some people, but they can't get it even if they sub for the same amount of time. That doesn't seem right to me. I don't care about exclusivity, I don't feel like I've "earned" something special over other players just because I've been subbed since launch, I want people to be free to pursue their own aesthetic ideals.

Maybe if you had been there at the start and stuck with the game with all the games issues from launch, you would understand the reward. You would also have the sweet ass costume, the striped senche and the loyal dwarven ball thingy.

Was that a loyalty reward? I got it but can't remember how or why.

The first loyalty reward was the ice wraith (3 months), followed by the dwarven sphere (six months). Then came the mask of cheerful (9 months) and finally the striped senche tiger, which you got of you remained subbed from April 2014 through June 2015.

Similar to how we've never seen another monkey pet available, it's nice theybhavent released other variants of the wraith or dwarven sphere. Makes them a bit more unique. The mask of cheerful slaughter is also fairly unique but kind of similar to the jester costume. And the senche... I'm glad there hasn't been another senche tiger nut there have been numerous other variants of senche so... Who knows. If ZOS believed there's money to be made out of it in sure they will.

All true. I have no problem with loyalty rewards and special items to mark significant dates or feats accomplished. I believe that retiring items such as the Mask of cheerful slaughter is good for the game. But will agree that bringing back loyalty items IMHO is a great idea.

The issue I have with these rewards is console never had a chance at them. They should at least bring them back for xb and PS4 players.

Maybe you have to stay subbed just as long to get each one?

As others have stated it was a loyalty reward, never in crown store though a single head version was in the crown store. It was only available to those that has subbed for 9 months when the reward was offered. Not going forward.

Basically, do not expect it to be offered again in any manner.

There are console players who have the costume. They started on PC and had their accounts copied to consoles. Considering they had to buy the game within a couple months of it being released I expect many that transferred have the costume.

I do have all those things, I just find the exclusivity fetish some people have repugnant. Free the tigers, senches for all subscribers!
