Possible bug - Mad God's Bargain/Valaste quest

As I remember it, finishing the quest and choosing to either leave Valaste with Uncle Sheo or take her home offered 3 skill points for the first option, and 1 skill point for the second option.
I finished the quest last night, and I decided to take Valaste home. All I got was a staff and a glyph. Both were purple, but the main point here is that I did not get a skill point.
Is the quest bugged, or has it been changed?

I don't know if it was changed but I've always read/heard that you get the Folium Discognitum which gets you 2 skill points. I just finished it last night but saved Valaste's mind and got the purple staff and glyph but no skill points.
I looked at the history of the quest as UESP and found no previous mention of skill points for saving her.0 -
