Ever since 1Tamriel and the ready availability of efficient, basic stat-boosting dropped sets (Spriggans, Mothers Sorrow, Draugr Hulk, etc etc) there really isn't an argument against jewelry crafting any more.

How would it upset balance, starter set now is one crafted and one overland, then replace one with an dungeon set, then add monster set and then sometimes a second dungeon sets.
With crafted jewelry it would be easier to build around an dropped set, crafted already has the benefit of weapons in any trait.

Because then everyone could use top rated crafted sets without ever needing to grind bosses and delves for stuff.

Fine, but it cuts out the need to grind for bosses and delves for ANYTHING besides achievement, and achievement is just bragging rights in a journal that no one else ever sees.

All other character leveling points could be made just by crafting writs every day with no combat at all.

otoh - I'd be happy if we could at least crush jewelry for mats and glyphs/runes, rather than only selling/deleting jewelry as we do now.
