It seems too large at first, but it sells the idea of a province way better than the normal zones. It's kinda refreshing, to be honest. Being out there, killing things, with nothing around you on the horizon.

    Cyrodiil is the best.

If they sorted out how we train our horses to be fast, this wouldn't be an issue at all. :|

    Bigger is better!
A full map scroll run being hounded the whole way is the only real way to fully appreciate the distances.
The distance is completely tactical... if it was a 5sec ride to get back to a fight, the fights would be less tactical & there would be no point in forward camps. The ride from a keep back to the keep where you died needs to be substantial.

Breaking the enemy supply lines by taking keeps or outposts behind enemy lines, to give the front line forces a decent chance to take a front line keep by stopping re-enforcements is a very valid strategy.

Its perfect size, I roam from time to time and some of my best experience in Cyrodiil have been surprise encounters in the field. Not all combat either, met one hell of a sorc out there 2 years ago we dueled and had good fights. He became one of my go to people in game for questions. Doesnt youtube, doesnt post just plays the game, expert sorc player though.

Could be bigger, at least for those campaigns where most people have maxed out mounts and use speed buffs.

It would be better if there were more locations, delves, even ruins and landmarks. It just feels very empty at the moment and god can we please please have riding skills account wise. Taking my lowbie alt over in his sloooowwww mount is just a chore.

I voted other, because I haven't been there yet with my current characters, but I played there in 2015 with my other magsorc when I was here the first time.

I prefer large games with large areas, or lots of areas.

Not to bring up that other game (W-W), but I loved it with all the different areas, different sizes, different types, etc. Plus, there was the issue between the Alliance and the Horde, and the different start areas for the two - loved it all. I had about twenty-some characters on six different servers, evenly split between Alliance and Horde. No wonder I spent 10 years playing that game.

    So, keep enlarging this game.

I wouldn't mind the large size of the map so much if we had a better way to get around than the current awful Transitus system. Trying to get around the map when your faction owns little to no territory is such a chore that it's the second main reason I avoid Cyrodiil (first being I just don't like PVP). I don't see why we can't have a few Cyrodiil-only wayshrines around the map. They could have a safe zone around them where you're invisible to enemy players until you leave that area (don't forget to sneak or go invisible before you leave the safe zone, and hope no one detects you!) It'd add that element of suspense that PVP'ers seem to go for, while also giving everyone, PVP'er and PVE'er alike, a better and faster way to get where they're going.

i believe you've discovered the big point about owning keeps. it allows you to travel. If you don't own any, why should you have free reign to port around the map? take a keep and then you can. otherwise get those mount speed buffs and start riding buddy.

Would wish that your mount speed was given a minimum speed of 40 points while in Cyro, so that new characters aren't completely sluggish.

If you take Oblivion into account Id say it's perfect size. It's nice coming to Cyrodiil, like getting some fresh air. That it takes a while to get anywhere, doesn't bother me. Just suck it up and ride onwards!

Many hidden places seem "unfinished" (like closed dungeon doors, ...) and could add some more fun to Cyrodiil - if players would have any interest to go away from the keeps - but hey, it's already the best place in Tamriel.
And would love to be able to visit the castles / strongholds on each faction starting gates.

That doesn't work *at all* when Cyrodiil is a dead zone and you can't get any players organized to take territory. :/ Plus, fast travel isn't the sole or even main reason people take keeps--they want that tasty, tasty AP. And my mounts ARE maxed out, actually! It still takes forever to get anywhere, even with speed boost, set items that increase movement speed, and Windrunning. Transitus just isn't a very effective system of travel unless your alliance owns a hefty chunk of the map, particularly since you can't just teleport to a keep you own that's unconnected to where you currently are. And with how much time it takes to travel from point A to point B, it's almost impossible to get people to take a keep unless they were heading that way already or have a quest for that specific keep/nearby resource. Most people I've encountered in game don't want to gallop across the entire map, only to get killed by a zerg rush 3/4 of the way there and then have to start the trek all over. They want to get their stuff done, whatever it is, and move on to something else before they have to log off for work/class/other Real Life. They don't want to spend all their time playing Horse Riding Simulator.

If someone doesn't want to use another fast travel system, they don't have to. But other players having more options is not a bad thing.

Honestly, I think it might even be too small on busy servers. Mounted response time to keeps is extremely fast, makes small group play harder.

On empty servers, it's too big. But that's really a question of server population more than map design.

It looks larger due to most parts of the map being empty. Not asking to ZOS to resize them but I would like that the lots of unmarked locations could be discovered. Also add 6-10 medium sized dungeons (specially Ayleid ones).
