What is your dps average?

I ask this cause I want to know where I stand with you guys when it comes to dps. When I ask for your average it comes down to your dps against a target skeleton (humanoid). It would be cool if you share your class, race, sets and if you're a mag dps or stam dps. Here's mine:

Dps: 14,509. Redguard. Stam DK. Night mothers gaze, Selene two piece set and defilers.

EDIT: also I should've ask what type of weapons do you use and how do you deal damage (DoTs, high crit build or something different)?

25k redguard stam DK, spriggans, hundings and veli. 28-30k if I use essence of wpn power pots. Probably could go a bit higher with gold weapons.

20K magDk... I think the only way to higher is getting minor slayer or maelstrom :/.
*edit: I think my issue is not having spell power pots but I thought it shares a buff with Molten weapons and Magelight so it doesn't actually improve anything right?

Mine is rather low compared to the dds I play with, the best Ive done lately (in vhof) was 42k. But usually Im between 30 and 40. I prefer to think that if Im doing around 12,5% or more in trials and 40 or more in dungeons, then I'm fine. But to be honest, Im so jelly when I see those pro dds. :D
But usually Im healing, so whatever.

35k + self buffed on dummy on mag sorc, I don't play as much now and don't test often so it could be higher but I have to apply ele drain myself.

I also got 36k before on my mag dk self buffed.

for high DPS parses it's important:
    - right rotation for the build and using ani cancel on each attack and bar swap
    - Right gear
    - Right cp
    - Pots, sustain etc

I've had ppl before say "oh I can pull 60k DPS bla bla!!" when bragging in party chat.... come to dummy and self buffed they barely managed 25k.

My tank averages 8k. My healer, in his healing loadout, averages 15k while healing dungeons (7k in trials). Both are better than most dps pugs I've had lately :D

Mid 20 to mid 30 on my various dps toons. Not great, but adequate. Most still wearing gear from pre-Morrowind.

I think it's pretty safe to say that a DPS player at max CP with purple/gold gear should get above 20k dps on a target skeleton solo. 30k is good. 40k is great. It mainly comes down to weaving light and heavy attacks appropriately, having a good gear setup, and a good rotation of skills.

Stamplar - 27k - self buffed no major fracture on dummy. Twice fang/hundings rage/selenes. Your biggest dps increase will be from golding out your weapons, hitting pen cap, and most of all right tightening up that rotation. Rotation alone I went from 20k to 27k.

Still using blue jewerlly because rng sucks, and 2 infused pieces so thats dropping my damage by a bit.

Max CP, all gold gear, vMA weapons, practice on my own target dummy, the ability to watch youtube videos, it's all wasted on me. I do 20k no matter what.

Rotation is very important, take a look at Alcast his YT videos or website. He has great builds and explains everything thats important.

You should be getting 30k+ dps in no time once you follow his instructions.

I did 12k on my Stam dk and cleared vma with him after morrowind and used 2handed too, so op you can do some of the toughest content with 14k dps but you need 25k+ if you wanna do dlc dungeons and vet trials without getting kicked. Oh and if you're looking for a good build check Alcast build 'Venom'. I'm using the alternate gear setup he suggested and its working well now and I can do vma a lot faster.

Trials, yes. But 4-person Dungeons, even on Vet? Not so much. The DPS on my StamDK is half that and I've done plenty of Vet Pledges without issue with groups. I'm definitely not melting anything on my own no but I know my DoTs are definitely a nice help.

    0-10k is low
    11-20k is upper low
    21-30k is mid-tier
    31-40k is upper tier
    >40.1k is top tier

Of course, that's how I see the breakdown of DPS levels and it's totally subjective but I think most players would be on the upper low DPS levels due to imperfect/inconsistent rotation, undertuned builds and to a certain extent, poor connectivity.
My hybrid Templar which mainly PvP is pushing 18k DPS average on a robust dummy but can stretch out to 22k DPS on a number of factors including rotations, crit chance (it is prettly low at 19% spell crit and 35% wep crit but if the crit luck is on my side, DPS is inflated as seen), and resource availability.

Lot of factors to determine dps.
Self buffed on target dummy, my mag and stam sorc usually get around 34 to 35k
With ele drain and or puncture applied, i can hit 40k
Obviously in raid settings, its gonna be a lot higher with tanks, healers, and other dps giving you support
Im on console so I have no access to combat metrics, extremely cool and useful addon

I do dlc dungeons regularly with 20k. Never got kicked, with randoms it's extremely rare to find anyone doing more than 20k.

Even casual guilds that run vet trials, I know a few, would probably not invite you with 14k, there are dps checks in those things. But compared to doing vMA, getting your dps to 20k should be relatively easy.

I'm not sure DPS is a very reliable measure in group content to be honest. I know it's seen as the holy grail, but how much damage you do overall in any given fight is also important as you learn your rotations and resource management.

In dungeons and trials, no player is in constant rotation. They may stop to dodge, rez someone, get into a better position or carry out another necessary action depending on the setting. Even in solo PVE you may not be in constant rotation. This will of course lessen your DPS even if you can still do a decent amount of damage when you're back in the fight.

Combat metrics is a great add on to keep track of your DPS, it will also show you how much damage you have done over the entire time of the fight. Overall damage % duration of fight = DPS. If you use it and take notice of it you will see in what moments your DPS shoots right up and when it drops right down and start to get a feel for what works.

The only accurate way to tell is with a training dummy where you can be in constant rotation, assuming you have good resource management and are using light/heavy attacks within that rotation to keep resources up and have good potions/food etc.
