You fixed the EU servers? Awesome! Now fix the NA servers.

A good look at the PC Technical Support section will reveal that many players are still experiencing the login issue (error 108, 200). It is obviously not an issue on the player's end because it's happened to so many in a short time frame. Please fix your servers so those of us experiencing the issue can play.

They know the cause of the problems with the NA servers, and have asked the people concerned (AT&T) to fix it for them. Those people have shrugged their shoulders and admitted that the routing hardware isn't up to the task, but, well, it would be too much like actually spending money to do something about it. In the meantime, ZOS's NA hosting provider can go swing. The problem in NA has been acutely identified in the hop just before the hosting site. ZOS are more or less powerless (apart from phonecalls pleading and begging and asking for router reboots) to do much more than they have about it.

I have a sneaking suspicion that its going to get very legal, and if we all know AT&T, thats a couple of years of paperwork before anything gets actioned.

In short, those on NA are up the creek without a paddle right now.

    Well ***.

Sorry about ranting at you ZOS. Hopefully AT&T will quit being a**holes and do something.

Funny, after half a dozen attempts I can log in, then there aren't any further issues till the next time I log in.

Sure doesn't sound like at&t to me. Cool story though.
My wife complains that I never listen to her. (Or something like that.)

    My ESO addons:
Midnight - Find out when midnight is so that you can check for ww/vamp spawn.
Goto - Adds a tab to the map pane allowing you to teleport to a friend, guildmate, or groupmate for free.

Yeah, I don't get how this is AT&T. It takes me on average 10 times to get in. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Drives me crazy. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to log into a game.

Seems a little funny that ZOS wouldn't just say that in the forum threads, or at least put a link to it somewhere so that the players who are spending good money on subs would at least know.

I mean - we send them our money thinking that they'll look out for us as part of the deal, and they hide stuff that would let us make informed decisions?

Thats just tacky at the very least, and something else at a higher level.

After the Monday maintenance, my login troubles went away.
I guess ZOS must have fixed at&t's router Monday morning.
    *eyeroll*

Anyway props to ZOS for fixing it finally!

    lol zos properly fixing something
I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

An issue that is exclusively server-side will affect everyone on that server, every time they log in. An issue that is network related will affect some of the people some of the time depending on the exact routing and the volume of traffic. The NA issue would certainly seem to be more consistent with the latter, and if affected players submit tickets with traceroutes attached showing where the hitch is occurring that will provide ZOS with more ammunition to throw at the network company concerned as well as enabling ZOS to work on any workarounds that might help things at their end. Basically, just shouting at ZOS tells them that you're not happy but doesn't actually achieve anything, while giving them some supporting information actually helps them resolve the problem.

They are just interested in your money and nothing more. As long as money keeps floating in, anything can happen and they don't care.
