Question for ZOS

I was just wondering, when u read about the constructive criticism in here, why u dont make polls with the issues ppl are complaining about ? U could make polls with all those issues ppl are mentioning over and over again everyday, simply just to find out how big the issues really are, which ones thats first priority to fix first and so on , this could be done lets say after each big updates , so u got a perspective of what really needs to be done until the next update.

I understand there is a lot of different things ppl are complaining about everyday, both minor things and bigger things, and its easy to lose perspectve of what needs to be adressed first , so in my opinion this would simply make life easier both for you and us, and if there are issues that u cant fix atm then let us know, tell us why? it is better to look a bit incompetent for a brief moment, then giving the impression that you dont care at all, ppl will keep fighting for the game anyways.

This game has got a lot of potential , and ppl will continue to keep pushing, for their love for the elder scrolls series. And if you really want to get MORE success with this game, listen to the players that spends most of their day in it, and have done so for years, if anyone knows whats needs to be done in the game its them.

Thats all, Karma over an out :)

Because polls in the forums are junk science at best. It does not even begin capture the interest of the player base. Those in the forums do not come close to interests in the game as a whole.

Zos uses multiple sources to gain feedback, then does something on their own (tongue and cheek). They have a couple or more focus groups and talk with various guilds from casual to serious PvP and PvE raiding guilds and of course these forums and redit are read.

Well, these forums are read but I would expect, and it would be normal, run on threads that are not well written and of course those that are just a complaint by not constructive would not get much attention.

Oh, and much of the complaints are really just something where players have not figured out how to deal with players that are more experienced. They think it is due to a specific class or skill when that is not the core issue. It is why if one scours the forums there are complaints about each class needing to be nerfed and complaints that each class needs to be buffed.

Specifically, the issue with forum polls is that the forums are not even close to a representative sample. The people who tend to come here to air their opinions are the ones who are having trouble with the game, or who are dissatisfied and have a grievance to air. Otherwise, most of them would be spending their time playing instead of writing lengthy posts about this or that on the forums.

The forums also tend to have a lot of players who are super dedicated or have been on the game a long time (aka, those of us obsessed enough with the game to spend our non-playtime talking about it), so forum POVs tend to skew more toward advanced and endgame content than most of the rest of the playerbase is going to experience.

It stinks, because it feels like our feedback isn't being heard, even though, as Giles said, we know that they keep an eye on the forums as well as taking feedback from other places. It's just not their only source, nor should it be.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"
