About those Warden animations....

    The class is diffrent at least, still a real problem child and I'm sorry but the shalk aoe thing looks sooooo rough, looks like it was done in a lunch break, where is the original animation with that funky underground beastie... oh right, now I remember, some whining git got it changed because for some reason the pvp crowd can't see a sodding great, building sized monster coming their way :/

    I LOVE the Warden animations! Don't mess with them too much plz..... they aren't the reason for anything causing the Warden problems in endgame!

    The Northern Storm animation: "Why is that guy stopping the fight to do emotes? Oh. Wow that takes a long time to cast."

    Also, from an aesthetic perspective, some of the animations are way exaggerated. Calling the netch or the bear, Northern Storm. Contrast them with a sorc's no-nonsense Negate or hurling a frag: cleaner and better. Just personal taste of course.

    I love the mushrooms though, and the animation they do when they "seed" them. And the falcon wings! Want.
    Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

    Wardens are the Druids/Shamans/Rangers of ESO. They have to have some crazy animations. lol

    Some of the cast animations are ridiculous; they take forever.
    ZoS also needs to give us settings to disable or tone down our own and others casting graphics/particle density. With all the flashing, strobing, beaming effects its very hard to see what the mobs are doing.

    And BTW, its great to see @Elloa is still here with us!

    Happens all the time for me. Since I'm an Orc Stam Warden, I choose to sprint everywhere instead of taking the time to mount up. This requires me to keep Bird of Prey, Netch, and Enchanted Growth active. I use an addon (Action Duration Reminder) to track when these buffs will expire so I can re-apply. There's times where I'll hit bird of prey and the timer will start, so the game registered that I DID hit the ability, but it does not activate.

    Since the Warden was released there has been an animation visual bug that appears. It looks like a streak of lightning going across the screen and ripping it in half.

    You can animation cancel a lot of them.

    That said this thread makes me sad. The animations are why I love it. I had no idea other people found my flower field etc. annoying. I wonder if my friends hate it but are just too nice to say they'd rather I just bring my templar. :(

    Are you sure it's up? I'm not sure. Maybe they could make the UFO beam brighter? Couldn't quite see you in Stomhaven all the way over here in Daggerfall.

    That's not the point. The comparison to the Sorc animations is rather good I think. Those are clear, short, concise. The Warden's...well. When Wrobel said they wanted something "wild" I pictured ferocious or fearless. Would go well with the Ranger/Druid theme. Not quite what we got though.

    This is one of several reasons why warden DPS is so awful.

    - Long animations
    - Few DPS passives
    - Winter's revenge doesn't crit properly

    You can cancel most of them...

    Some of them only cancel with weapon swap, which isn't practical. The worst offenders are netch and lotus (and bear whenever you need to re-summon). Winter's revenge, cliff racer, and shalk are fine.

    That is, the animations hiding red cones and circles is not a problem of the Warden's animations themselves?
