Bosmer Stamina Warden Build

I started off with this Bow/Dual Wield build which was doing me ok for a while until I hit level 40 and starting finding it difficult to do a lot of dmg but more importantly survive and no more so than the quest "Valley of Blades" where I was being 2 hit by the skeletons (especially the Frost Mage skeleton) and can find no way of surviving therefore couldn't complete the quest and stuck.

So I then tried a bow/2 handed build but didn't feel comfortable with that style and now I'm kinda lost as to what to do with this character.

Any advice or build tips would be most appreciated as this problem is making the game less fun to play now as I'm an older gamer and the spare time I have to play games I want to enjoy my experience of them.

Thanks.

I run a redguard stamina warden, it's managed to serve me pretty well from level 1 to champion 204 where I am now. I started out the same way, bow and dual weild. I ended up switching the dual weild to sword and shield, and while I don't even remember my original intention for doing so, that's what it still is. Yet, I use zero sword and shield skills. The bar with that is where most of my buffs are, I use evasion from the medium armor tree, and the stamina version of the netch from the animal companion tree. I also have I think bone shield on there too but I'm probably replacing that soon. The bar is rounded out with those explosive bug things that delay 3 seconds then do damage in a straight line ahead (can't for the life of me think of the name) and caltrops from the fighters guild line I think? My bow bar is all bow skills plus vigor out of the support or assault skill line (PvP skill lines, one of the two) to supplement my healing. One of my bow skills, the one that does the knock back, heals me at the end of the enemy disorient also, which helps. One ultimate is the bow ultimate for damage against a solitary tougher target, the other is the tree heals from the warden line for an extra emergency healing window if I'm about to go down. I also utilize food that increases my max stamina and health, some armor sets for more stamina boosts, and for the most part just rely on short self heals with that bow skill and vigor, as well as the evasion skill. The netch helps keep my stamina up as well as boosts my damage done, and I've torn through most PVE stuff with the setup, and I've managed to stay alive and contribute in PvP and tend to have high survivability in dungeons as well.
    No clue if that helps.

1h and 1h+Shield is pretty decent setup on stamwarden, just as it is on a stamdk.

Oh and that diving bird attack, the stamina version can be quite decent contrary to some threads I've seen, with the right stats and what not I get around 6k damage from it without critical hits, and crit sometimes gets near 10k.
I use that when I'm low on stamina because it costs almost nothing to spam it.
