im a magicka templar, before the morrowind patch i usually go with DW and inferno staff, but after the patch came through i changed to dual destro to provide more sustain in my part, is DW and an inferno staff still a thing on magplar or any magicka builds? or is dual destro the go to now?

Yeah I think for magtemp, 5 md and 5 juli is still BiS for melee. Probably groth monster set as well. The sustain is below average, though.

For PvP, definitely. Never see it in PvE unless it's niche as hell.

You usually see it on dps templars who spam jabs and run some pretty decent tankiness.

Most people who use dual wield as Sorcs/NBs are bombers. Usually you run inferno on the other bar and switch to dual wield to deal max damage.

yup ive never seen ppl running DW/destro nowadays on vet dgns, i want to run DW so i can run 2 item sets and a monster set, but i think sustain is more important, right? so dual destro still is superior in many ways.

in PvP i do go for DW or SnB since sustain is enough on that part in my case

Pretty much the only mag class that runs dual wield nowadays for PVE is Templar.

im a templar but im still having a hard time sustaining and doing damage while im using DW and an inferno staff, im sorta giving up DW at this point since i cannot feel the right way on handling it

I run it but sustain isn't as good as it could be. If someone runs magicka lifesteal it's fine. I have mother's brew and no magicka regen glyphs and if I'm not really pushing the jabs spam then i can sustain in most fights. The dps difference is massive so I kind of want to keep it but it does take practice and knowing when to time potions/getting a team to feed you orbs or shards.

My magNB still runs DW, on the back bar mainly for support and siphon type heals. Front bar is desto staff for my main attacks.

I don't really see a point unless you run 5 piece Moondancer. While DW does provide higher base damage you also miss out on the Ancient Knowledge passive.

DW is still strong for Magplar, you cant properly run two 5 piece sets otherwise and sustain is a non-issue on Magplar anyway.

Edit: For coordinated groups with proper support that is.
