...and then when I do get past login, and select a character, there's an even lower success rate to enter the game. Typically bounced to login screen with a generic message, like "Can't connect to game server .. do you have an internet connection?"

I was playing on a different windows machine just fine up until late last week, Thursday night I think. Since then, really haven't played, but not for lack of trying (or testing via the open support ticket I have). On that machine, I tried everything suggested in the forums, and the support site, like port forwarding/triggering, tested as DMZ, white listing apps in virus scanner, windows firewall, etc. I even had a new PC show up on Monday, and with a fresh install, and more of the same debugging on that box, still crazy login errors, and the occasional miracle to load a character.

The support ticket is pretty long at this point, DNS flushes, loader ProgamData removal, etc. I've run with a default set of settings (graphics, etc), no addons, and with admin privileges on everything. I can't get into the game to play.

Anyone else having this problem? Did you have this problem any time recently? What have you done that I haven't tried to fix it? Help me out! I don't want to move on to another game, but if I can't play, I can't play /shrug.

    Last service alert fixing login issues of the 29th seems to have done the trick. In and playing last night and now with no trouble.

    Also getting this still. Loading time, which was never great, is really bad. Sometimes, when it does log in, half of the textures are just black.

    The funny part is when ZOS gives all these suggestion that the player do on their end to make it work, when the problem is obviously on ZOS's end. Evidence of this is the fact that it is happening to MANY players in just a short time frame. ZOS needs to stop acting like it's a player issue, and fix the game that we paid and subscribed to. If not, then I demand a refund.

    At the point where they started asking me to forward ports... I pretty much gave up and will wait for a patch.
