Just wondering: How many trading guilds can survive financially purely based on their sells?

The cost of keeping a trader is just insane nowadays, not that I am complaining, I just don't see the point of such competition.

Even the vendor in the deepest corner cost more than 200k a week and it can hardly generate more than 50k, not to mention the ones in belkarth

BTW the guild stores in cyrodii is just ridiculous, it needs to be more stable to become something worth existing. (All servers share same guild vendor in all servers, and can keep the vendor even if conquered (tho some punishment should be applied))

Guild stores in Cyro are just bragging rights

99.9% of the time you hop from every keep looking for one that actually sells or has more than 2 people in the guild

I'm sure some of the bigger guilds can manage fine, i.e Payday, theres like 7 now, so they must be doing well

The answer is zero, at least on PC NA server. (Unless you are lucky enough to get one cheap that nobody bid on.)

Top trading spots cost millions, sometimes as high as 10-15m. They cannot earn anywhere near that from taxes.

Crappiest spots like an outlaw refuge in the middle of nowhere still tend to cost anywhere from 50-100k or more. They cannot earn that much from taxes, either, because traffic and sales are very low.

But the fact that everymidnight the map totally flipped to one color makes pvp guild stores not worth keeping at all..thus not many guilds are willing to keep it.

I still remember the time that my guild got a spot in one of the DC base keep and it got attacked by AD (while other DC keeps are still standing) and then retook by DC shortly, then the guild "AD is great" took the vendor in that keep, in DC territory

exactly what I am talking about.

I just don't see the point, even for "hardcore" players.

A lot of work for the GM of trading guild, but they raise the gold to pay for their bid by auctions, raffles and donations. There's no other way unless you manage to make enough sales yourself to pay for it.
