I purchased what I thought was a Morrowind Upgrade Download Edition, but the code I received was for the full version. I've been playing since fall of 2015 and have over 630CP and lots of SP on seven character that I don't want to lose. I need to know if I can apply the code to my account without losing my existing characters. I read where a retail collector's edition could be applied to an account without losing anything, but there is no mention of the standard or digital versions.

Can someone from Zenimax please give an official answer to this question? I would like to be playing in Morrowind, but until I know for sure that I wont lose my characters I'll have to just hold off on using the key.
