i'd report them via ingame but truth be told i cannot be bothered to type in so many names cutting into MY play time, you should really consider a report area>bot suspicion>details for the report menu so a GM can actually go LOOK for themselves

make sure to explain it needs to snap the rough location of where the report is put in so that they can home in on coordinates/segment of the area so it gives a more pinpointed location of said suspected bot activity, worked really well on an old neverwinter nights server me and afew buddies used to run (altho our report tool was more of an email based one) and really makes catching people getting an unfair advantage over others via automation

Well, since the bot-driver has to buy a new bot-account, every time a bot-account is banned -- It's a new sale if they want to try again.
- It costs, out of bot profits.
- It cuts back on illicit mats for sale. If duplicating mats is a 'hack' and 'bad', then illicit mats are just as bad.
- A new bot-train of accounts has to be bought.
- It takes time for them to go through the motions.
- There's a period of time they're not in business.
- There's a period of time we don't have to put up with that crap.
- It's a period of time that players don't have to compete with industrial harvesting by bots.

The game could have been for sale probably 6 months sooner had they not bothered to write immersive code, and hadn't bothered to spend the time making the code as hard to hack as they managed to do.)

I think it was more a depiction of how ZOS works internally... Jessica raises the issue and 13 ZOS managers need to have their say and sign forms in triplicates before anything gets done.

The thread I linked is more than a report, it is also a request for implementation of an auto detect of bots+bans system.
Furthermore, it was an overall discussion about the botting issue and ways to resolve it.
I know that ZOS isn't obligated to disclose the outcome of bot reports but I expect that they at least acknowledge the issue and perhaps consider what was suggested in my thread.
This quote doesn't give them a solid excuse to ignore my thread.
Why in this case they responded ? I don't understand why this case is so special.
I have been waiting 1 month for a response and I got 0 responses from ZOS staff.

✭✭@ZOS_JessicaFolsom This same scenario is always going on PC-NA as well, I've even watched a few of them who deviate from the hordes path and runs from the zombie field over to this merchant "Bendyni Nelvani" to sell all of their loot I am guessing. Maybe relocate this NPC to a less convenient spot or fire her so they can't exploit it for gold farming?

The problem with that is bot trains aren't still long enough to report via the "player interaction" interface. I do like the idea that we can just hit F1, report bot activity, and it'll send our zone location info to the GM's. Since bots operate in such a small area, they should be easy to find.1 -

It is s good place to collect rubedo hide from off the wolves, but trying to keep ahead of the bot train is an exercise in frustration.
Collecting mats for medium armour is hard enough without having to compete with cheaters.
I like this game but having to compete with cheaters for simple mats is bloody annoying.

I believe you only get a drop if you caused damage to the target.

1. Go to "Percolating Mine" wayshrine in Shadowfen. Stand at the shrine at stare exactly N/W. Wait a few seconds and you'll eventually see a bot train there. They all are nearing 300 cp now. I reported every last one of them a week ago (when they were in the lower 200's) and nothing has been done. They almost all run pets (twilight and familiar) and follow a set path EXACTLY.
2. Go to Grahtwood, Haven wayshrine,. Head EAST until you hit the coast. Once on the beach, follow the shore (they stay on the sand) NORTH and you'll see another group farming mudcrabs, alligators, and everything else on the shore. They are often directly south of Sacred Leap Grotto (on the beach) and just run south and back north staying on the beach or very close to it.0 -

I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in Shattered Grove. There are a large number of obvious gold/mat farmers there and the bodies they stack up are highlighted just as they would be if I killed them myself.0 -
