I'm a relatively new player in ESO. I really started to play a couple weeks ago and hit level 41 last night. I don't have any of the DLC yet, but I'm looking forward to buying them all.

I want to say thank you to all the developers who helped Morrowind release on PC yesterday. Even briefly turning on the Zone chat last night gave evidence to a lot of negativity being spit out by players without giving a second thought to what they are saying. I cannot imagine what the developers are going through in hearing all this negativity when they have put so much effort into creating new content for us all to enjoy.

Here is why I'm excited about Morrowind: it will bring new life to the game I have been dreaming of playing since its release over three years ago! I finally was able to get myself a rig and start playing a few weeks ago, and I have been enjoying every minute. I am overwhelmed in the best possible way with all there is to do in this game, and I enjoy playing an MMO in my favorite gaming universe, The Elder Scrolls. I want to play this game for a long time, and Morrowind will help extend ESO's lifespan.

So, developers, thank you for all your hard work! I am challenging myself to beat most of the base game before I upgrade to all the DLC as a reward, but I cannot wait to play everything you have in store for us in Morrowind. I am sorry there are so many negative people hating on new content.

To the players: please think thoroughly about the consequences of spreading negative comments about change, DLC, new content upsetting the meta, and anything else. It's good to hold our developers accountable, and I'm sure balances are being worked on now, but I cannot see anything but good coming from the release of Morrowind. Thanks!
Best,
Ettin

@vyndral13preub18_ESO Thank you! I agree, I think the quests are amazing. That's what I want to finish before I hit up Morrowind; I want to get the achievement for beating all the quests in the base game :D

@Omnipresent Thank you, really! I agree. I'm afraid that if there is too much negativity, the developers won't be inclined to create more for us! No more content = an MMO with a finite lifespan.

I am very happy with Vvardenfell as a landmass and the OST hits me right in the feels. Seriously. After 15 years of playing TES 3: Morrowind, seeing it recreated in ESO is a joy to behold.

Plus I can finally have my Druid Argonian Healer.

I don't know about you, but I consider pure evil that one of the original themes started to play when I was entering Vivec... not on the road, no.. they were waiting for the right moment to strike. :D

Definitely, I agree. Just from the first couple hours, I've noticed:
    • the number of quests to begin right away is large, and they are scattered across the island
    • the island is free to explore all the way around it without any hidden, blocked-off-by-mountain areas, with the Red Mountain always in view
    • NPCs seem like they're always talking
    • quest characters also have more fluid, attended-to animations that go nicely with what they are saying (rarely are they inappropriate)
    • and the scenery is gorgeous.
    Balmora felt right at home.

I like thank you thread, so let me give my thanks

The warden is a super fun class to play. I am super looking forward to chaos ball ( healer's battleground). Also everything, but death matches are fun. Lastly morrowind just looks amazing in the new favorite place to live in tamerial this might be it.

A lot of the negativity is justisfied though... vvardenfell is my favorite zone for nostalgic reasons and the content that is there is good quality, but there isn't enough content to be called an expansion. Compare this to any other expansion from other mmos and you'll see...

It is about the same amount of content as a minor dlc orsinium. It has a new class and 3 battlegrounds but that is standard for a mmo.... It needs atleast 4 grp dungeons a 3 trials but there is only 1 trial and 0 grp dungeons... and I doubt zos plans to do standard content patches for their expansion to increase its replayability

This is definitely true. The story content is the best part of the game. Everything else is pale in comparison. The game seems to lack any other compelling reason to keep me playing. I now find that I play Skyrim more than ESO. I guess 3 years is still a good amount of value for a game. I really want Elder Scrolls 6 but I don't think they want to do that because it would likely compete with this game for revenue.

I've enjoyed the "so called" Morrowind Expansion. The environments are great. The quest and side quests were well done and fun. The Warden Class is a blast in PvP (despite it under-performing a bit).

I tried BG for the PvP event and found it was more fun than I anticipated. I'll go back.

    All is not roses, however...

If they can get a handle on lag, relative balance, round out some of the "meh" sets and actually implement jewelry crafting...Dude's and Dudette's, we will literally be playing a great game. (almost there)
