Why? I've always wondered what the purpose of this is?

    Never liked or understood that either. But it's less confusing than my characters not using a hammer when using the forge. They always use their bare hands.

    That's related to using personalities. My Orc uses the Heroic personality and if he uses the blacksmithing station he uses his bare hands (nobody said that heroes are very clever xD) but if I remove the personality he uses the hammer normally

    yes, having your caracter tast food wearing an full helmet would look stupid
    Grinding just make you go in circles.

    Thats just as bad as striking next to the anvil instead of *on* the anvil.

    Happens to my character all the time. For immersion purposes, I just tell myself that my character has really strong hands.

    I think it's because the camera moves in so close there might be clipping with some of the helmet meshes, so it would probably look very strange.

    Probably also gets a bit hot and sweaty using a forge with a helmet on.
