my gosh, they must surely be ruining your experience.

they taking your mobs? they taking your resources?

Lemme tell ya something that occurred outside the millenial age. They call this age the golden age of gaming.
Once upon a time, there was a game called 'runescape'
filled with many people because it was free and people wanted to play with there friends who didnt have the real MMORPGs and these were people 13-18 years old.
in runescape, all you do is farm farm farm
you and your friends would farm ores all day, and eventually you get mid level to farm some good money ores.
very very few farm spots for these
every now and then, actually a lot of times...
    BOSS
    would come.
one pick that ore, and its his. takes ALL the good mid level ores from everyone.
Aint nothing you can do but cry and pay respect to
    BOSS
and try logging in at odd hours hoping
    BOSS
    isnt there

see back in my times kido,
good players could ruin your game

now its 2017, these are world class developers in the ESO team, they should have no issues or already know before you do when a cheater is cheating
since its 2017, they have made everything easymode, lots and lots of nodes... no more back in golden age of gaming scarcity of nodes. Think to yourself, are these bots really ruining your game??? Think about all the nodes out there and all the other farming locations in this game. Now think about those few bots, that the developers, WORLD CLASS DEVELOPERS, already know because of coding that sends an alert to them when PC's are showing bot like behavior. If you worried just report and go on about your day, no need to get overly hyped up about it. ESO most likely already knows, this is most likely... there 1000th claim that... bots are out there.
ESO is world class, just make threads thanking them instead, because they dont disclose the amount of bots they have banned. you'd be surprised how many bots they have banned.

So go on about your day, be thankful you aren't in the golden age of gaming.

Cheating is cheating and should not be tolerated whether it impact your game play or not.

The thing is, bots very much affect your gameplay. Just look at what they did to the EU economy recently. Completely tanked it by unloading thousands of aetherial dust and other rare mats at once.

Really? I thought we'd been assured on numerous occasions that such things are only possible with an auction house  !

They tanked an imaginary economy oh the travesty. Was it like black Tuesday? Will you be forced to eat hardtack?

no, it's not. the program used is called ISboxer, or it's programs just like it, that allows one user to controll several character (ie clients) simultaniously on one machine. it's called multiboxing in general, which actually just means having several clients (boxes) open at the same time. the right term to use is multiplexing but that is not really important here. however, it has nothing to do with bots, not in that sense anyways.

I am not observing, or talking about, someone who is using a program like ISBoxer. This is mainly because ISBoxer does not do automation and botting. All it is doing is mirroring actions between accounts. That is far too simplistic for what I see running in various places around Tamriel.

Obvious trolls are obvious. There are bots, there should not be, ZoS needs to take strong action to clear them out.

i recorded todays grahtwood bot train. then i went and killed everything along their route as many times as i could. this had some benefits:

    i got lots of leather
    i got lots of gold
they didnt get lots of anything while i was around.

this should be the next group activity. annoying bot trains

Tilting at windmills. The reason the bots are there is because they can collect XP, or materials, consistently over time, even if here are other players there that interfere. Yeah, they probably got 980 leather drops instead of 1000 that day, but I doubt they noticed. While your actions are noble, and may be fun and profitable, it is not really hurting them unless you spend all day doing it.

I have been known to kill stuff in their path, or kite a Wamasu over to join in the fun. Both are effective tools to determine if there is a player involved, if done at the right place, at the right time. There are key times when a player, even one that is multiboxing, will behave differently than an account that is being driven while no player is present. Of course, if you are wrong, you might get yourself reported. Even if right, a human just sitting there watching might report you knowing they are reporting a bot hunter that might also get banned.

I don't generally recommend visibly interacting with the bots, or even talking to them.
