Anyone know how this is accomplished exactly?

I have all the things done in Morrowind, including running HOF on normal.

I have found one motif out of over 100 chests opened. I lost count exactly how many chests, but many were advanced and master and I have the treasure hunter passive.

The drop rate is a cruel joke by Zenimax designed to make you endlessly chase your tail around Vvardenfel for nothing.

But dont worry, it will be in the crown store probably by the end of the year.

Well, I guess I'm kind of wondering the Same.

According to the description of the Buoyant Armiger drops, you have a better chance if you help the living God Vivec, which I've done, and also "become a friend of the island".

I've done the storyline for Vivec, Balmora, and Sadrith Mora. I've finished Grand Adventurer. (32 quests)

I guess Im assuming there would be some kind of text SOMEWHERE regarding this but I have yet to see it.

It is not in the Morrowind achievements list, unless I missed it 4 times over.

The Buoyant Armiger style can be obtained from treasure chests and treasure maps across Vvardenfell.

Motif chapters are rare, but show up more often in higher-difficulty chests and treasure map chests. By quirk of fate, those who have proven themselves friends of the island and the living god Vivec are more likely to find its chapters or book than others.

The style item, Volcanic Viridian, can be refined from Viridian Dust, which can be found uncommonly on any harvestable resource in Vvardenfell.

It could mean almost anything... Savior of Morrowind, Clanfriend(Ashlander dailies), could be every achievement...

Right, that's why I'm wondering? That's fine if I need to keep doing this stuff, I'm just confused on how nobody knows exactly.

I guess I'm half expecting a title to pop or something but, I would think it would be listed as the rest are?

Since weeks I don't even get to see one single motif page of the Buoyant Arminger. This canot be right. Are you serious Zenimax? How low is the droprate? 1:1000?

Ya it's obviously VERY low, which is why I wanted to finish this up even if it is just a SLIGHTLY better chance.

Have you seen anything at all in regards to "a friend of the island" in game? I don't have all achievements yet, working on the last 2 as I type this.

I have zero of the HoF achievements as well. They wouldn't attach it to that I don't think though....

I thought you become a "friend of the island" when you finish the quest of the living god Vivec.

That may very well be the case, that was actually my original thought, but I never saw anything in game to indicate it so.....

Ditto. Not one single motif.

Done Morrowind now with 3 characters, too.

I have two routes for chests on Vvardenfell with 13 possible chest positions and every time I run this routes I get to open about 5 or 6 chests.

At the ESO Taverna in Cologne I talked to a creative director about this and he told me that he will open a ticket about the "Arminger problem". Since HoR I'm finding motifs almost every second or third day. I just don't know if they fixed the droprate or it's because I activated Treasure Hunter in my CP tree.

I finished every single thing in Vvardenfel except for the trial, and 500+ chests later, I got zero drops. Ended up buying pages from other players.
