Well done, but that's not a defending situation for the tank.[You can't take a ressource by holding block in the face of npcs.
I am talking about you coming to that ressource that a tank just flipped ... Now what?
You are running away or need to wait for your buddies to show up while the tanks faction is up to something big at the same time somewhere else.
You still think that Facetanking people for a long time is straight useless? I don't think so, tanking is situational and not a bad thing in general. If you play like me people don't run anywhere, they stick right at my shield because they hate the idea that they cannot kill me with their damn procc builds. They want to duel or 3 man me while i pick one after eachj other out of their grp and guess what they come back with 5 or 10 next time until i am dead.
Sorry, but that's just my experience as a tank in Cyrodiil. They want to get face tanked all day and night.
Hey no one told me this was a tank video thread!
Here ya go: https://youtu.be/jLsGI0ANjyY
Facetanking people for 2 min straight is outright useless if you can't hope to kill or even damage them at all. It's just a waste of time for everyone.
When I find such a tank in Cyro I just ignore him and let him contemplate is uselessness when he can't stop me from simply sieging a keep or killing his friends.

I play a tanky character myself. But as opposed to the tanky dude i'm referring to, when people ignore me, they tend to die (unless it's a templar healer or such a tank). If he took the ressource? Well i'll take it back under his nose, that's my whole point, he's a useless tank.

And my point is that your reference is not player standard ...
Not every tank is a noob that you can ignore.

Hi,
In my opinion , the best way to see if you are tanking good is to go alone.
Like me, Gorrag, Draconis do.
Tanking with healers and others players close is not the same.

If you can tank 12 players for 2 min straight, without running around a tree, you've specced enough into tankyness that whatever your skill level I have nothing to fear in terms of damage coming from you !
