Anyone else experienced this?
We were doing deatmatch, 2 in our team was just sneaking around doing nothing and waiting for the battle to end. When the opposite team was "nearing" victory they left both of them.
Thats low, and they deserve a temp ban for cheating, is it possible to report it?

Sadly I think this goes with DPSers lying about being a healer or tank to get into dungeons faster.Hoping for more playable races2 -

Yes i understand but these ppl heavy an light attacking, it clearly looked like sabotaging to me0 -
AdicusDio✭✭✭That's not cheating. You get hit with something like a 20 min reque ban IF you leave early. Some builds (even w/o cp) are too defensively OP for many in BG. Honestly don't blame them for not wanting to stay engaged. Many are coming in for the event ach, not getting hammered by end-game tanks they can't kill or sorcs doing 15k hits, etc.3

✭You don't know what's going on in rl for them. Sometimes I'm in the middle of a BG and my wife suddenly needs me to hold the baby. Now I'm trying to play with one hand for a while. If you're gonna demand that everyone on your team be totally focused, don't PUG.4 -

Yeah, if something is created to encourage/discourage people from doing something they don't/do want to do, some will be inclined to be passive aggressive about it. For example, in SWTOR, they introduced a companion which (unless you were a certain class) could only be unlocked by playing PVP. Twenty rounds, assuming you lost, which was likely if you weren't playing a PVP build and had no experience with it.
So players would join PUGs and just barely move to avoid being kicked, not bothering to fight at all. At least one actively worked to undermine her own team, using support abilities to deliberately yank her teammates into environmental hazards, as a form of protest against requiring PVE players PVP. Result: only pre-made PVP teams had any fun, the rest were miserable.
So if you introduce anything that tells a player "if you quit, you're punished," then they'll just eff around and not do anything.
That being said, since the two players left before the end (late enough so replacements couldn't come in), it sounds like they were deliberately throwing the match. I'd say it's more likely they were just trolling, since if they were organized, they wouldn't need to plant players on the other teams, a pre-made is rarely going to be beaten by a random PUG team.1 -

But bg is ptobably one of the most fun i ever had in the game and im almost an exclusive pve player. beats cyrodiil by a long shot1 -

To my knowledge outside of the 4 man group you cant decide you want to join the same bg as someone else unless you got really lucky..... but the chances of that are slim and its not even worth trying for one bg win.

Don't put everyone in the same sack tho. I am an RPer, but also a PvPer. I do battlegrounds and enjoy it so much.

Whenever i go into a BG and i notice my buddies on the other end, I'll hop into their discord channel and I will talk trash nonstop every time I kill them. And if they kill me it's because I'm pugging, or lag, or something like that. Obviously.

This point to some sort of matchmaking function there the game tend to group good BG players together.
A bit weird that this is not public but if public people would scream if crunched by players who are good but don't do many battlegrounds.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
