New Players Should Not Get Qued For DLC Without At Least A Warning

First off, don't link to some other thread somewhere else. Thats just lazy and a way of duplicating threads.

Second, new players are perfectly capable of completing DLC dungeons just fine. I have no trouble with new lvl 10s completing nRoM, nCoS, nWGT, or nICP once the mechanics are explained to them. They are scaled to the appropriate level. In fact, its a GOOD thing they have access to these dungeons. It makes them better players and they will be competent by the time they run them at a higher difficulty.

*blink* why'd you make a thread about a thread? Not to mention that thread doesn't even coincide with this thread's title...

You do know a lot of the new players go straight into Vet right? But then the common excuse is "always do Vet with your guild or friends"... Oh, sure, like everyone in the world has friends.

New players can't go straight into vet because you can't queue for vet until you're lvl 50+.

I still consider players between CP10 and CP300 to be "new players" honestly. Leveling is simple and there are quite a few people who either have a difficult time grasping the playstyles that allow them to succeed, (like I was, didn't get a full handle on it all till I was at least Vet14 back in the day) or they simply refuse and just heavy attack everything.

Well, here's why OP should've actually posted something other than a link in his OP :p On top of my head I assumed he's talking about new players getting dlc dungeons open to them as soon as they hit level 10(given the thread title stays "normal roulette"), which ends up with dlc dungeons making 40% of the random dungeon pool available to them at that low level. Which is rather silly - it's not that they can't complete them but it's kinda absurd that normal ROM is unlocked while normal Elden I is locked.

Vet dungeons are a whole other story, but in a way there's also less of a problem because for a random vet you're choosing from a pool of all the dungeons available, not just 4 dlc and 6 non dlc ones.

    Two options.

    1. Enable all dungeons including DLC ones at level 10, which dilutes the chance to get a DLC dungeon;

    2. Set DLC dungeons to level 49, in line with other dungeon level requiremets ( vault of madness at level45)

    Inconsistency is bad game design.

This should apply with vet dungeons yes. or a level requirement like 160cp for dlc and II dungeons.

    Normal, not so much.

No. Normal DLCs are just fine, even for newbies. They can easily light attack their way through them as long as everyone is following their role.

For Vet dungeons... the difference between CP10 and CP 160 is not that big. One can farm that in less than a day. And you don't wanna block ppl from content until they are CP630. And to be honest, I've seen tons of amazing CP90s that did a great job in vet DLC and tons of CP630s that were utter garbage, both personality and skill-wise. I'd say it should stay as it is.

Both would work, I would prefer 2 but just have the restriction for random dungeons, probably reduce the level requirement overall too.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

ZOS should split dungeons by difficulties in the grope finder. Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, etc.

Any kind of exclusion added to the lfg system would kill it all together.

We had a cp100 tank que in to our vet icp run, get kicked, que in to our group and again, get kicked and que in to our group AGAIN before he finally stopped queing.

    10 million players. Yeah right.

Maybe its just me, but I am the impression they are intentionally letting low levels do the dlc dungeons, while adjusting the difficulty based on completion rates. I noticed that it isn't as hard now as a few months back. Just an observation based on doing all pledges everyday.

I'd be up for that, so many times runs have come grinding to a halt because the tank keeps getting one shotted

On the other hand I'd like a pillock filter as well, help eliminate muppets who do nothing but grind dark anchors and skyreach all the way to max cp and then come and whine on forums when they don't know one end of a build from the other!
