Idea: Werewolf vs. Vampire Event

I feel like player-based Vampires and Werewolf questlines are rather thin in this game. Sure you can interact with some of them as quest-givers in the world, but they never recognize you as being one of them, if you have the "disease" (gift?). It seems odd, especially since the Skyrim Dawnguard DLC was so popular.
Hear me out:
Werewolf vs. Vampire Event
A three week long event (possibly during or leading up to Halloween) that pits Vampires vs Werewolves against each other, for objectives both PvP and PvE-based.
New NPC's: One for Vampires and one for Werewolves. These NPC's gift a reusable scroll (only during event) that temporarily grants non-monster players their respective FULLY LEVELED (not requiring skill points) monster skill lines on a 2 hour cooldown.
World map: Every zone has a ton of respawnable Vampire or Werewolf enemy encounters, including "mini-invasions" nearby main towns that you can disrupt.

Rewards:
Might be a good time to bring back the Werewolf Lord (and others) Polymorphs on sale.
Just a few ideas, not necessarily fully fleshed out of course. What do you think? Can't be worse than some of the events we've already had ;P

- Throughout the event - event-themed Collection items (cosmetics, etc.)
- For completing all achievements: A scroll that grants a one-time completion quest which allows you a free PERMANENT Vampire or Werewolf bite (your choice). You can pocket this quest starter and complete it anytime in the future when you're ready to accept the gift.
Might be a good time to bring back the Werewolf Lord (and others) Polymorphs on sale.
Just a few ideas, not necessarily fully fleshed out of course. What do you think? Can't be worse than some of the events we've already had ;P

✭It's a neat idea to give Warewolf and Vampire more of a seasonal presence. Honestly, I think folding something into the Witches Festival makes sense.
During the featival, 3 festival NPCs spawn that provide daily quests:
Vampire daily quests:
- Lead a cowardly vampire through a delve to feed on the delve boss
- Protect a group of vampires in a house from waves of vampire hunters
- Receive a "blood-lust" buff that allows you to feed on NPCs even if you are not a vampire. The quest is to feed on 10 innocent NPCs in a city.
Warewolf daily quests:
- Summon a pack of warewolves to help fight a world boss. The quest fails if any of the warewolves dies.
- Kill all bosses in a public dungeon and deliver their entrails to a lovestruck warewolf trying to impress his potential mate.
- Receive a "blood-lust" buff that allows you to feed on NPCs even if you are not a warewolf. The quest is to feed on a dolmen boss.
Evil Hunter daily quests in Cyrodill:
- Kill 10 Vampire players
- Kill 10 Warewolf players2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Not a fan of the implementation suggested. But, having some event with vampires and vampire hunters, where you're picking a side, during Halloween could be fun. Again, kinda like Dawnguard. Realistically, there's probably time to implement a few quests like the freebie that came with Morrowind. Go into certain delves to advance through the event.
Alternately a Hunters vs Werewolves event could be cool. Again, same idea. I could see a unique battleground mode for that, where a team of werewolves fights against werewolf hunters.2 -

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this but there's no real rivalry between WWs and Vamps anyway. Most issues seem to be between mortals and them anyway rather then each other. Although I do agree with what you said about being a vamp/WW having a bigger impact on npcs and the wider world.2 -

True. The only time I ever heard them spoken about in the same sentence is when Harkon is slightly disgusted if the player happens to be a Werewolf in Skyrim. Otherwise, I don't think they've ever had a conflict.
When I say "vs", I don't necessarily mean this event be Vampires "war" against Werewolves. It could easily be closer to being a competition, or a race. A race to capture territory for their Daedric lords. I included "Kill X monster" achievements only because I was throwing out random ideas. It doesn't mean you can't complete those achievements as a mortal (non-monster).
But really, just spit-balling here. I'd much rather an event like this than "Run to the tavern, swallow a knife, fire-breath, turn in quest". I mean, there was barely any meaning to the Christmas event. In fact, very few of these events have any story-driven plot at all. They're just task-based. Yeah, the Vampires vs Werewolves thing really isn't an Elder Scrolls thing. Tamriel's Vampires and werewolves may not like each other, but they're not at war, or even unusually hostile to one another. You might see individual vampires who harbor a grudge against werewolves, or a werewolf who hates vampires, but nothing organized or large scale.
I'm not even aware of any vampire bloodline that has a particular animosity towards lycanthropes. And, so far as that goes, at least one bloodline (the Lamae bloodline we have access to in ESO) is rumored to have a secondary affiliation with Hircine.0 -

✭✭✭No to the pvp portion the vampire to werewolf ratio is like 20:1... i just wish they'd make both actually good vampire is just a health penalty with stam and mag recovery and no akills useful in emdgame. Ww is a failed dps tank with a binge eating disorder both feel like they just need a bunch more to be a fun thing worthy of an event0 -

✭Khajiit likes the idea of a hunting competition between Vampires, werewolves and the different races of Tamriel. To hunt world bosses, dolmen bosses etc. Could make it a challenge set by Hircine to all. Set it for November and have a number of unique recipes etc. Drop as rewards for bringing the head of the creature back to Hircine.
