How are you enjoying it so far?

What made you decide to go with this build?

What skills do you consider your bread and butter (from any skill line)?

Personally I am loving it, especially as a Wood Elf. There is so much synergy that it plays very fluidly, and I love the idea of being a stealthy thieving ranger. Subterranean Assault plus Bombard is a killer combo (along with caltrops and beast trap which both fit perfectly into the build), and Cutting Dive is great direct damage spammable skill. It all plays well with staying at range and still putting out enough damage to get the job done. The variety of self and ally buffs are diverse and fun. Warden fits a pure stamina ranged/ranger build perfectly imo. What has been your experience?

I have been running essentially Alcasts' Bow/Bow build for a while now, save I am running 5 Hircines Veneer/5 Hundings (for looks)
I am enjoying it quite a lot, it is very versatile, save in extended survivability. In the wrong circumstances, I feel like it is a very squishy build, which is a bit irksome. I generally dislike grouping and solo world bosses and normal dungeons when I can, and it has yet to feel tough enough to do those things reliably.

I swapped out beast trap for green lotus on my back bar, but it still feels really easy to kill. I know from some hybrid builds I tried out that even soothing spores wouldnt make much difference.

but aside from that, I am enjoying the playstyle a lot. I would only disagree in that even witht he bow it doesnt quite feel like a ranger/hunter build, I am definitely feeling more druid vibes from it, which is surprising considering it is a bow build.

anyhow, overall, it is a very fun build to play )

I just finished leveling a Bow/Bow Warden Bosmer Healer. I centered the build around a Powered Maelstrom Bow I got a couple months ago, and previously did not know what to do with. Here is the build I am running:

    5 pc Defiler
    3 pc Agility
    2 pc Sellistrix
    1 pc Maelstrom Bow (powered)

Endless Hail is strong because of the bow, and the combination of Defiler + Sellistrix means a lot of AOE stuns on enemies. If enemies can't attack, then they can't hurt my teammates.

With Enchanted Forest, Soothing Spores, Green Lotus (heals on light and heavy attacks), and Echoing Vigor, I've got enough healing while also contributing damage and running disruption with my proc sets.

    Edit: Typo

I run a similar build to that but with a couple personal tweaks. As for feeling short solo'ing dungeons, do you have any idea why that might be? What are you comparing it to?

I run green lotus/bull netch/bird of prey on my back bar along with beast trap and subt assault (buff + opener on one bar, subt assault cast last then bar switch for "normal" rotation)

Awesome I can see that for sure, all in the eye of the beholder. Glad you enjoy it.

Nice, I don't have access to some of that, but am running 5 Defiler / 5 Hunding's for my "starter" set.

Yes I regretted not mentioning Endless Hail, but I had to draw the line someplace, didn't want to list off 10 awesome abilities :)

Something else I thought might be fun would be Nightmother's. The physical resist debuff from that set + Subterranean Assault would create some awesome debuff on enemies.

Mainly I am comparing it to my magsorc, which I know isnt a fair comparison. I just am looking for an "oh crap" skill that will prevent my death long enough to recover footing.
Because of Hircines my sustain is outrageous. I only get low on stamina when I am spamming the cliff racer too much, and since all my defensive stuff uses magicka, being an altmer is actually sort of useful.

Before the bow/bow I was running a pretty awesome hybrid build, but it was centered on light armor and I couldnt get a look I was happy with, hence the change to stamina bow/bow. Dampen magicka was a great oh crap button and I felt a lot more durable in general.

ah the things I do for fashion lol
