Maintenance for the week of May 25:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – May 25
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – May 27, 6:00AM EDT (10:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EDT (20:00 UTC)
a friend of mine said last time his crashed, he got a msg saying eso was consuming to much memory, xbox btw. im not sure weather to take him seriously or not.
I've definitely had times where my FPS gets worse after being online for a while. But I don't know for sure that it's due to a memory leak. Restarting the game does fix it...

Than it is a memory leak. I post my experience from another thread:
I noticed when I am on a map, and I walk through an area, like a city or a quest area with many opponents, and then the performance goes down steadily.
No matter how far away I am from the city, as soon as I look only in the direction of the city, the performance goes down. Whether I see the city or I am at the opposite end of the map.
It seems to me as if everything you see in your travels through a map, remains in the memory and is not removed if you do not see it or you are too far away.
If I change the map, the whole process repeats itself.
I've also seemed to notice that if I'm in a group fighting a world boss or any large battles with special effects from AoE's and spells that after all is said and done my performance is usually worse until I relog.
I don't think closing the launcher has anything to do with memory leaks. How the freak is a launcher suppose to leak? It's just one more thing running on your computers tho so it is best to shut it down. Along with your youtubes and gorging app heavy browsers. Heck I would blame microsoft's superfetch before blaming all of TESO's crashes on the launcher. I have been closing my launcher for a long time just to give the processor one less thing to worry about. I don't need to on my gaming pc but my old pc yeah it needs the animated launcher off. If you are using Windows you should shut off MS apps so superfetch doesn't keep zipping and unzipping them. But that is not what is wrong with TESO. It is on their end not ours.
Sadly, my ESO client for Mac (yes, feel free to laugh) takes memory leaks like it's on the world's strongest juice cleanse ever devised. When I first log into a zone, the ESO client generally sits at around 2.6gb.
After visiting a zone with significant dueling, running a single Battleground or (worst of all) running Vet MOL or HOF, the client quickly leaks its way up to 5.2 - 7.7gb of RAM (on an 8gb iMac). Needless the say the thrashing quickly causes my FPS to plummet from my v-sync'd Max of 60 fps down to < 15 fps.
What's worse is that, if I do not completely exit the client prior to hitting the 6 gb mark, any graceful attempt to exit the game or even shutdown Mac OS becomes impossible and results in me having to hard power-off the system.
I don't know if this is isolated to the Mac port of this game - do any Windows users experience this Niagra Falls level of memory leakage...?
Edit: I was in CoS with guildies the other day and while i had 80fps on max during the whole dungeon, his fps would go down constantly (restored by restarting the client), so I say it's likely that it exists, but i don't think it's everyone.

I wonder what is the cause of this since - when you look at the poll - not everyone has that problem...
Unfortunately I am one of those suffering from memory leak (or something else whatever you call it). Especially in trials, I have good fps at the beginning, while throughout the whole raid my fps decreases to unacceptable level at the last boss. The worst for me is Aetherian Archive where during the fight with the Mage I have less than 10 (!) fps (while at the beginning it was way over 40). It's unplayable. It's not my PC's fault because if it was like that, I would have low fps from the very beginning. Some time ago I didn't have such problems, I run AA really smoothly, I don't remember when exactly has it changed and why. I tried disabling all addons, even adjusting my graphics settings to low etc. - nothing helped at all.
Another problem is grouping in Cyrodiil/IC. When I join bigger groups (8+ players), my fps suddenly and significantly drops and the game is like slow motion. When I'm outside of such big groups, everything is fine.
ZOS, do something with this, please! Performance should be your priority!
