Imps as pets

The Improved Emperor's Guide to Tamriel, which I'm nearly finished reading, says that Imps are often used as familiars. It would be amazing and lore friendly to include one as a non-combat pet!

Even if you couldn't use it to shoot fireballs or whatever, because there's already the scamp, I still think it'd be pretty cool to have a crown-store Imp available, or a new quest which resulted in an Imp non-combat pet.

While I am sure the Emperor himself has his reasons, beyond their insufferable abundance, for keeping his Imperial subjects as pets and playthings, I must assure you that taming one is no small feat.

Imperials are well known for their headstrong nature, and even their children, plucked from their hovels before they're taught disciplines pertaining to their stubbornness, are difficult to render useful in any but the most menial of tasks.

Much less need be said about teaching one to cast a simple fireball spell.

    Not a good idea.

I would suggest sticking with your tried and true, old faithfuls. Argonians are favored by Dunmer Master Race for a reason, and you all could better yourselves following in our example.

One could indeed argue Argonians are even sturdier than the average Imperial stock, and less likely to give you the excuse to flay them into a mediocre pair of traveling boots.

    Yours truly,
    Dunmer Master Race
